Total Lunar Eclipse on March 3 at 13 Virgo
A Portal of Emotional and Practical Integration

A total lunar eclipse will be visible on March 3, 2026, primarily across North
America, Central America, the Pacific, Australia, and East Asia. The entire eclipse
will be visible from Western North America and Eastern Australia. It will appear in
the early morning for the Americas and in the evening for Asia/Australia.
In ancient times, eclipses were seen as powerful omens. The saying
“the mighty will fall” originates from cultures like Assyria and
Babylonia, where eclipses—particularly lunar ones—were believed to
foretell the death or downfall of a king. To protect the true monarch,
these societies would enact the elaborate ‘substitute king’ ritual: a
commoner or prisoner would be crowned temporarily to absorb the
negative fate while the actual king went into hiding for purification.
Symbolically, lunar eclipses often represent both endings and
beginnings, deaths, and births, literal or metaphorical. Their energetic
impact can last up to six months and may be felt as early as a month
before the eclipse itself. Though dramatic, the effects are not
inherently negative (unless, perhaps, you’re a king). They offer an
opportunity to break free from unconscious habits and social
conditioning that block self-realization.
On a personal level, lunar eclipses can bring suppressed memories
and emotions to the surface. They illuminate our inner landscape.
making us more aware of unconscious motivations or unresolved
patterns. Projects or relationships that have reached their limit may
naturally come to an end. Lunar eclipses, in particular, can signal the
completion of something you’ve been building toward.
A lunar eclipse marks a time of culmination, emotional release, and
heightened insight. It often brings hidden matters to light, offering a
chance to release what no longer serves and usher in transformation.
With the Virgo/Pisces axis activated, we are invited to reconcile the
rational with the intuitive, the detail-oriented with the dreamy.
During this eclipse, we are called to balance these polarities: the
mystical and the mundane, the emotional and the efficient. It’s a
moment to integrate opposites, finding wholeness in the tension
between spiritual longing and grounded responsibility.
The Moon in Pisces enhances emotional sensitivity and empathy. It
may stir deep feelings and open channels to spiritual awareness,
dream life, and soulful connection. Meanwhile, the Sun in Virgo
directs our focus toward health, daily routines, employment, and
organization—prompting us to refine, clarify, and attend to practical
matters. This is a good time to detox both physically and mentally.
Let go of micromanaging, perfectionism, and worry.
As the Sun fully opposes the Moon, it lights up parts of the psyche we
may not normally see--inviting confrontation, healing, and release.
Pay attention to your dreams; Pisces speaks fluently in symbols and
images. Lunar eclipses tend to be more emotional than solar eclipses,
and this one in Pisces will certainly stir the depths. What comes to
Light now may change the course of your path. Trust that what ends is
making room for what is ready to begin.
This eclipse is softened and uplifted by a harmonious aspect to
Jupiter in Cancer. These aspects suggest a potential for optimism,
creativity, emotional growth, and generous expansion. They support
healing and joy, even in the midst of change.

On a lunar eclipse, a chapter closes; another begins. While the
significance of personal developments might not be immediately
clear, this eclipse could plant seeds for a major new direction in your
life. If you feel a pull toward something new, trust it. Go with the flow.

Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these
eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on. But
that can be a good thing. Some view eclipses as release and renewal
points. If your birthday falls on or is close to the date of an eclipse
your life will change dramatically in the months and years ahead. But
remember, sometimes eclipses get triggered after they occur so
events can come in after the eclipse, especially within 6 months after
the event.
An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in
on your natal chart and what planets it conjuncts or opposes. The
areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more energy and
time from you, at least until the next eclipses. Eclipses open doors
and invite you to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of your
life that needs your attention.
Remember that planetary energies are archetypal and archetypes can
be expressed in many different ways. It’s really based on your
consciousness and how you decide to work with these energies.
This lunar eclipse at 13 Pisces/Virgo and will affect you if you have
