September 2022 Forecast

Mercury turns retrograde this month on the 9^th at 8 degrees of Libra and stays retrograde until Oct 2 when he turns direct at 24 degrees of Virgo.  For some reason, Mercury retrograde has grabbed the attention of the public.  This is probably because it gives us something more to be afraid of.  We have been primed for fear the last few years by our corporate-owned media and it won’t go away soon.  So go ahead and add Mercury retrograde to Covid, Omnicom, Monkey Pox, Russia, and Climate Change.  Or, follow the Buddha and liberate yourself from desire and fear. I’m feeling preachy today.  Sorry.  Mercury retrograde is a good time to reflect. When he goes retrograde on the 9^th, he will join five other planets that are retrograde.  This month is all about looking back on where we have come from and what we have learned.

Mars entered Gemini last month on Aug 20 where he will stay an unprecedented seven months. This time period could push all the Geminis out there over the edge.  Being a Gemini myself, I can attest to the fact that we just don’t need any more stimulation. If you are in a relationship with a Gemini Sun or Gemini rising person, just watch the smoke coming out of their ears.  And then watch them relapse into exhaustion when they can’t think of anything more to chatter about.

Saturn and Uranus are moving into a square again.  We had that square in February, June, and December of last year. It symbolized all of 2021. That square manifested in the conflict between wanting to feel safe (Saturn) by getting multiple vaccinations and boosters and by fear (Saturn) of the unvaxed versus wanting freedom (Uranus) by going to a restaurant or the beach. Which side were you on?  Are you a Saturn or a Uranus type?  Run to your local astrologer to find out.  The square will be ½ a degree of exact on Oct 4 and then they move apart.

Sep 2 – Mercury opposite Jupiter at 6 degrees of Libra/Aries. Jupiter with Mercury can be loud and obnoxious at times. Be careful of your speech today, don’t knock people over the head with your outrageous ideas.  If you have personal planets, (Sun Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) or the ascendant at 4 to 8 degrees of Libra or Aries, don’t be such a loud mouth.  This aspect will repeat on Sep 18 when Mercury backs up to oppose Jupiter again.

Sep 5 – Venus enters Virgo until Sep 29.  During this period, you may all start to over-analyze emotions and be too critical of those you love.  Did you know that people with Venus in Virgo in their natal charts remain unmarried more than any other Venus sign?  Is it because they are critical or maybe because they are discriminating and won’t fall for a loser just to be married? Venus in Virgo is the earth mother.  Joanna Macy, the ecologist, said that first, we have to learn to love the earth in order to save it.  Venus in Virgo is the love of the earth. Virgo is a healer so during this time we could be interested in helping people with their problems be they physical or psychological.  During this period, you will go out and get your hair cut,  and buy new clothes to look neat and put together. “Put together” is a Virgo phrase and I really don’t know what it means.

Sep 9 – Mercury turns retrograde at 8 degrees of Libra. Find the house in your birth chart that contains Libra.  This is the area of life where you could experience miscommunications and snafus. There is some good news with this Mercury retrograde.  While Mercury is in Libra, he will oppose Jupiter in Aries three times-- on 9/2, at 6 degrees Libra/Aries, on 9/18 at 4 degrees Libra/Aries, and on 10/12 at 1 degree of Libra/Aries.  On these dates, beneficial information will come in or a new idea will come up that can open doors to your future.  Pay close attention to any news or original knowledge from books you are reading, especially if you have early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn.

Sep 10- Full Moon at 17 Pisces.  This New Moon is in a positive aspect to Uranus.  Usually, a Full Moon in Pisces tends to make you sensitive and perceptive of your surroundings. Sometimes you feel insecure, and passive and tend to sit around and wait to see what happens.  But, Uranus gives this Full Moon an extra ‘kick’. With Uranus involved, you don’t have the patience to sit, you want to go out and look for something zany to get involved with.   If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 15 to 19 degrees of Pisces, you won’t know whether you should sit and meditate or jump on an airplane.

Sep 16 – Venus Square Mars at 14 Virgo/Gemini.  You could be very clumsy today in romantic matters.  You can also go out and spend too much on luxury items.  It’s best to stay home, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 12 to 16 Virgo or Gemini.

            Sun Opposite Neptune at 24 degrees of Virgo/Pisces.  I have a strong prejudice against Neptune because he represents Dionysus the guy who twirls around and creates confusion.  So on this aspect; you better stay away from business or financial decisions, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 22 to 26 degrees of Virgo or Pisces.

Sep 18 – Mercury Opposite Jupiter at 4 Libra/Aries. You are talking too much and saying things you shouldn’t say.  This is a repeat of the aspect on Sep 2. Try to listen instead of talk if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 2 to 6 Libra/Aries.

Sun Trine Pluto at 26 Virgo/Capricorn. You could get good material advice from a plutocrat today, someone who is in a powerful position to help you. Look for this person if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 24 to 28 degrees of Virgo or Capricorn.

Sep 22 – Sun enters Libra until Oct 23. Libra represents Aphrodite. She will be in her element during this time by creating love relationships, officiating at weddings, and helping creative artists do their best work.  What could go wrong? Well, Aphrodite cheated on Vulcan, the nice guy. She likes to spread her love everywhere.  So don’t get too frisky. This month you could end up having too many friends on Facebook and spend too many hours on eHarmony.

Sep 23 – Sun Conjunct Mercury at 0 degrees of Libra.  Your mind will be primarily concerned with human relations. We want to refine our activities and be more sensitive about our personal appearance.

            Mercury is backing up into Virgo and will turn direct on Oct 1 and head into Libra again on Oct 11.  Find the area of your chart that contains Virgo, this is the area where you will have confused communications.

Sep 24 – Venus Opposite Neptune at 23 Virgo/Pisces.  This is not a good aspect for lending or borrowing money.  You may buy something and pay an inflated price for it.  Try to choose wisely.

Sep 25 – New Moon at 2 degrees of Libra.  The chart of the New Moon sets the pattern for the month ahead.  In Libra, you will want to find balance and harmony.  You want everyone and everything around you to be ‘nice’. This new moon is opposite Jupiter.  You will want to expand your life through education or travel.  This is a lovely month for those of you with personal planets or the ascendant in Libra.

Sep 26 – Venus Trine Pluto at 24 Virgo/Capricorn. When Pluto is good, he is very, very good and when he is bad, he is horrid. On this aspect he brings parties and friendships  He may regenerate your love life if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 22 to 26 of Virgo or Capricorn.

            Mercury Conjunct Venus at 25 Virgo. Your speech takes on a more pleasant tone. You may receive an important message from a friend.  Go out and sweet talk everyone if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 23 to 27 Virgo.

            Sun Opposite Jupiter at 3 Libra/Aries. You tend to exaggerate possibilities today. You expect too much from a relationship and like Icarus, fall to earth from disappointment. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 1 to 5 degrees of Libra or Aries, modify your expectations.

Sep 27 – Mercury trine Pluto at 27 Virgo/Capricorn.  Someone cares about you a lot and they could help you out today regarding a job or a career move.  Who is this person?  It may be a Virgo, a Scorpio or a Capricorn.  Be alert if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 25 to 29 Virgo or Capricorn.

Sep 28 – Mars Trine Saturn at 19 Gemini/Aquarius.  This is a good day for a family reunion or going to see the old folks.  This is also good for concentrating on a job that needs manual dexterity. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 17 to 21 Gemini or Aquarius, you can get a lot done today.

Sep 29 – Venus enters Libra until Oct 23.  The goddess of love and beauty enters the sign of love and beauty.  Our sense of color and form is heightened during this time.  This is a good period for all of the artists out there.  For the rest of you, why don’t you try to spruce up your home a little, you will notice that it looks drab and dingy.

 

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:

JUPITER entered Aries on May 1, 2022 and will stay in Aries until Oct 29, 2022, when he backs into Pisces.  This month he is retrograde and will travel from 8 to 3 degrees of Aries.  Jupiter in Aries is about taking the lead in our life. He is the big fat happy guy who was excessive in all things.  Jupiter also can expand our experiences, our knowledge, and our confidence.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant between 5 to10 degrees of Aries expect expansion and blossoming in that area of your chart.

SATURN is in Aquarius until March 2023.  He is retrograde and will move from 20 to 19 degrees this month.  Saturn rules our material world, and especially our career.  Saturn is the old traditional ruler of Aquarius.  So he is happy here.  If you have the ascendant or any personal planets 17 to 22 degrees of Aquarius, you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules. While Saturn is in Aquarius, he will run around trying to restrict all of the social media that he will call fake news.  He hates to see freedom of expression which is what Aquarius is all about.

URANUS is in Taurus until Apr 2026.  Uranus turned retrograde on August 24 and he stays at 18 degrees of Taurus all month.  This is the time to break loose and make some radical changes in your life. I believe in ‘cooperating with the inevitable'.  If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, (16 to 20 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio) go on a long vacation, preferably to somewhere you have never been before.  Or make some major changes in your life. Taurus is the earth.  Expect earth events such as farming, food, earthquakes volcanos or major weather events during the period that Uranus is in Taurus.

NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026. Neptune is retrograde this month and will move from 24 to 23 degrees of Pisces.  A lack of focus, a sense of drifting, or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the ascendant or Personal Planets at 21 to 26 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams, and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out when Neptune is in Pisces. 

PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023.  This month, Pluto is moving retrograde and will stay at 26 degrees of Capricorn all month.  He is grinding away in our psyche bringing up all sorts of difficult psychological crap. You should run to your nearest therapist especially if you have the ascendant or personal planets at 24 to 28 degrees of Capricorn   What needs to die in order to be reborn?

Eclipses of April and May 2022

The first eclipse on April 30 is a Solar Eclipse in the sign of Taurus.  The second eclipse is a Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Scorpio. The ancients believed that during an eclipse,” the mighty will fall". They bring endings and beginnings-- births and deaths. The energy from an eclipse can last up to six months and can also become active a month before the actual eclipse.

Solar Eclipse on April 30 at 10 degrees of Taurus

This Solar Eclipse will be visible in Antarctica and the Southern Tip of South America.

Solar Eclipses tend to relate to sudden events that disrupt our day-to-day functioning; they are crisis that seems to come out of nowhere and that suddenly demands all of our conscious attention and focus. They tend to stir things up on a physical and conscious level much more than Lunar Eclipses.

A Solar Eclipse is a powerful new moon so make plans for the future. Set your intentions during this eclipse around Taurus themes – your values, banking, property, housing, land, food production, and farming.  The six months following this eclipse is an ideal time to make a fresh start in all of these Taurus areas.

This Solar eclipse is conjunct Uranus the planet of liberation and rebellion at 14 degrees of Taurus.  With Uranus in the picture, we could see disruptions in the food supply and sudden geomagnetic events. Uranus is truth and awakening.  He can bring clarity to a situation. This eclipse also sextiles Mars so we could see battles for personal freedom or a favorable opportunity to take a big bold action.

 The ruler of this eclipse is Venus, the planet of love, diplomacy, and harmony.  Venus rules money and Taurus craves financial security.  Venus is in Pisces and conjunct to the rare Jupiter/Neptune conjunction.  Venus here will boost the energies of the Jupiter/Neptune energies. We could become indulgent and go over the top with spending or excess of any kind.  Since Neptune rules oil and water among other things, this could mean higher oil prices and flooding.  Also,  Pluto, the planet of corruption, passion, and obsession is stopping in the sky at 28 degrees of Capricorn and turning retrograde. Adding Pluto to the Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune conjunction could lead to the revelation of secrets. 

This Solar Eclipse is opposite Vladimir Putin’s Venus at 11degrees of Scorpio. He will become aware of his financial situation and his popularity because of changes in those areas.

I think the end of the month will be a wild and crazy ride with surprising and sometimes shocking information coming in. And Venus with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces in a tight conjunction can create compassion, inspired art, and love of mankind. This triple conjunction in a sextile to Pluto can bring massive creative power and transformation.  Maybe the secrets and the wake-up call that happens during this eclipse will cause a positive response in the collective.

 Lunar Eclipse on May 16 at 25 degrees of Scorpio

This eclipse will be visible In North and South America, Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia.  Check here to see if it will be visible in your part of the world.

On a Lunar Eclipse, something will end and on a Solar Eclipse, something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thoughts and behaviors that stand in the way of self-realization. 

A Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of our patterns, and our unconscious motivations. This period of time can bring up old memories and feelings.  Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. The Sun opposite the Moon lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness. Repressed energies emerge for confrontation and resolution.  Pay attention to your dreams. Lunar Eclipses are more emotional than Solar Eclipses.  Lunar Eclipses shine a light on things we weren’t aware of.

We will have eclipses on the Taurus Scorpio axis of the zodiac for the next year and a half.  So this denotes a cycle of change that relates to our values, our possessions (Taurus) and our ability to regenerate our lives (Scorpio).

A Lunar eclipse is a very unstable energy.  Change is in the air, but don’t start anything new until June.   Mercury is going retrograde from May 10 thru June 3, so wait a few weeks after June 3 to start a new project.  But the lunar eclipse will open you up to accepting new ideas.

This is a very complex Lunar Eclipse because of the many other planets that it is aspecting. It is in a trine to Mars at 23 Pisces, squares Saturn at 24 Aquarius, in a sextile to Pluto at 28 Capricorn, and in a trine to Neptune at 24 Pisces.  I’m going to take a stab at what could result from all of these planets involved with the Lunar Eclipse. Mars could represent taking positive action.  Neptune could mean our direction is confusing or we are being deceived. Pluto means that the Lunar Eclipse is shining a light on news or events that reveal corruption or something that was buried. But some of the aspects are beneficial. The eclipse sextiles Pluto and trines Neptune so what come up could be healing in some way.

How will these eclipses affect you?

Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on.  But that can be a good thing. Some view eclipses as release and renewal points.  If your birthday falls on or is close to the dates of an eclipse your life will change dramatically in the months and years ahead.  But remember, sometimes eclipses get triggered after they occur so events can come in after the eclipse especially within 6 months after the event.  Mars will trigger the Solar eclipse on July 20 and 21 2022 and Mars will trigger the Lunar Eclipse on Aug 12 and 13^th of 2022.

An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your natal chart and what planets it conjuncts or opposes.  The areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more energy and time from you, at least until the next eclipse in Oct and Nov of 2022.   Eclipses open doors and invite you to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of your life that need your attention.

Remember that planetary energies are archetypal and archetypes can be expressed in many different ways. It’s really based on your consciousness and how you decide to work with these energies.

 The Solar Eclipse on April 30, 2022, at 10 degrees of Taurus will affect you if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and/or Mars) or the ascendant at 8 to 12 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio.  Also, look at your natal chart for the houses that contain 10 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio.  It may mean the end of one set of circumstances and the beginning of another in that area of your life.

The Lunar Eclipse of May 16 at 25 degrees of Scorpio will affect you if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 23 to 27 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio.  Also, look at your natal chart for the 2 houses that hold 25 degrees of Taurus and Scorpio. This eclipse will stir up events related to those houses. What are your values, do you own your possessions, or do they own you; what can you let go of, and what needs to be reborn?

Eclipses can repeat every 19 years.  We had a lunar eclipse at these same points on May 16, 2003.  Look back to what happened then. This will continue a theme that was playing out at that time

April 2022 Forecast

I am taking a second look at A Terrible Love of War, a book by James Hillman published in 2005.  Most of us don’t want to read or think about war, but In Hillman’s book, he writes about Mars, the God of war. According to Hillman, the god of war is an archetype that needs to be acknowledged and honored.  How do we do that without bloodshed?  His book goes a long way to answering that question.  And speaking about Hillman, Pacifica Graduate Institute is offering a course on Hillman presented by his friend, Thomas Moore. This month Pluto will station at 28 degrees and slowly turn retrograde. Pluto is in the last degrees of Capricorn.  He was joined by Saturn in 2019 until Dec of 2020 and Jupiter joined him in Dec 2019 until Dec 2020. He also had help from Venus and Mars, who joined him from Jan 22 until early March 22.  He had some good buddies to help him hold onto the old guard and impose global control.  He is all alone now in Capricorn, so his power may be weakening, but he is still a tough cookie and won’t totally let go until he moves into Aquarius the sign of revolution in April 2023. In four years, when he is in Aquarius, he will move into a conjunction with Russia’s Moon-- the Russian people.  Because Pluto moves so slowly, we could start to foresee the change in the soul of Russia and its people as soon as April 2023.  Stay tuned.

Apr 1 – New Moon at 11 Aries. This is the first New Moon after the vernal equinox so it signifies the beginning of the year. Any intention you perform during this New Moon will be effective for the entire year. This New Moon is conjunct Mercury and in Aries, he is frank and forthright.  Aries is about heroic action.  It pushes forward without a care for the slower dreamy types.  Anger could cause you to say something you will later regret.  We could all become mentally active. People around you will do or say whatever they want. You could be on the receiving end or the pushy end.  See where 11 Aries falls in your birth chart.  That area of life should be included in your intention for the year.  See the Meaning of the Houses here.

Apr 4 – Mars Conjunct Saturn at 22 degrees of Aquarius.  This is a warlike aspect.  We could see conflicts in the world. Mars wants to move ahead, be active, accomplish something, BUT Saturn puts on the brakes. So this is not a good time to travel or to make plans.  Just stay home and do some work around the house especially if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) or the ascendant at 20 to 24 degrees of Aries or Libra.

Apr 5 – Venus Enters Pisces until May 2.  Venus is exalted in Pisces.  Pisces has no boundaries, she wants to dream and fantasize without interruption.  Venus doesn’t like boundaries either; she wants to love whoever or whatever she wants.  We could all end up in a sentimental, emotional mush pile during this time.  Watch Virgos go nuts during this time as he tries to tell people to ‘get real.'

Apr 10 – Mercury Square Pluto at 28 Aries/Capricorn. Be careful because some underworld character can rip you off.  Don’t go bragging about how you don’t trust the banks so you have a stack of money hidden in your underwear drawer. Keep mum about your plans. Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean there isn’t someone out to get you. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 26 Aries to1 Taurus, you are too trusting, be careful.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 26 Capricorn to 1 Aquarius, you are paranoid already, so stop peering out the window.

          Mercury enters Taurus until April 29.  Mercury wants to flit around with the feathers on his ankles and visit one subject then read about another. He is the butterfly of the zodiac. Taurus is not into butterflies. He wants to live on the earth, dig into the earth, and feel he is on solid ground. Taurus is a fixed sign so during this time we may have trouble changing our minds even if the evidence is right in front of us that we are dead wrong.

Apr 12 – Jupiter Conjunct Neptune at 23 degrees of Pisces.  Jupiter conjuncts Neptune every 13 years, but the last time they joined up in Pisces was in 1856. Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces and Neptune is the modern ruler. Therefore this is a triple Pisces aspect.  You could be disillusioned or disoriented.  You could be abducted by fairies, so stay out of the woods and don’t travel to Ireland.  I hear that is where they hang out.  Culturally this could bring in a renaissance in music, film, and art. Look to the house in your birth chart for 23 degrees of Pisces.  This is the area of your life where your creativity will soar. Pisces rules shamans and the other worlds. You could find out you are a medium and start talking to dead people.  Culturally, we could be subject to mass hysteria or be deceived by the media more than usual. Neptune reveals things, and with Jupiter, there could be a big reveal.  Maybe our media will start talking about the leak in the Swiss Bank. The biggest bank scandal the world has ever experienced.  It happened on Feb 20, but this news was obscured by the Ukraine/Russia conflict. Watch the news.  This aspect covers all of April and half of May.  If you have a lot of Pisces energy in your birth chart use this energy to intuit your hidden talents.  A very powerful transit if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 21 to 25 degrees of Pisces. 

Apr 14 – Mars in Pisces until May 24. Just what we need, more Pisces. Mars rules a fire sign and Pisces is a water sign.  If Mars wants to get anywhere, he has to swim. This aspect creates a drive to be charitable and compassionate. Mars could get activated to help the unfortunate in our society.

Apr 16 - Full Moon at 26 Libra.  This will bring fulfillment or culmination of what was promised on the New Moon of April 1.  A Full Moon covers two signs that have opposite energies.  Our job is to reconcile them.  Aries is the self, Libra rules others.  We need to balance our need to be an individual with our need for relationships. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 24 to 28 degrees of Aries or Libra, the next two weeks is a time when you will be dealing with this issue.

Apr 18 – Mercury Conjunct Uranus at 13 degrees of Taurus.  Expect the unexpected.  Sudden, upsetting news could come in to cause you to make quick decisions.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 11 or 14 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio Your brain sparkles and you could have some ingenious, progressive ideas today.

          Sun Square Pluto at 28 degrees of Aries/Capricorn.  Someone is in direct conflict with you.  Try to maintain harmony. That may take some self-control since the other person is a manipulative monster.  Stay calm if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 26 Aries to 1 Taurus or 26 Capricorn to 1 Aquarius.

Apr 19 – Sun enters Taurus until May 20.  This is a good month to attend to all of our practical issues such as your home and garden.  It’s a beautiful time in nature as a lot of the spring flowers are blooming.  The myth for Taurus is King Midas and who was a great rose gardener. He was also very materialistic and loved money, but as he got older he realized that the most valuable thing in the world is our environment, the earth. Prepare to celebrate Earth Day on the 22^nd.

Apr 24 – Mercury Square Saturn at 23 degrees of Taurus/Aquarius. Mercury can get his feathers clipped today.  He wants to flit around and talk to everyone about everything, but Saturn stops him and he has to think before he speaks.  That is very frustrating for Mercury, but may be a good lesson. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 21 to 25 degrees of Taurus or Aquarius, be serious for a change.

Apr 27 – Venus Conjunct Neptune at 24 degrees of Pisces. This is a great day for creative expression and for envisioning a blissful future. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 22 to 26 degrees of Pisces or Virgo, watch your dreams, they may be telling you something important.

Apr 28 – Mercury Trine Pluto at 28 degrees of Taurus/Scorpio. Pluto comes in to help us think through some problems and also he helps us dig deep into what is bothering us. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 26 degrees of Taurus to 1 degree of Gemini or 26 degrees of Scorpio to 1 degree of Sagittarius, this would be a good day to go for some cognitive therapy.

Apr 29 – Pluto retrogrades at 28 Capricorn until Oct 8, 2022. Look for personal planets or the ascendant at 26 Capricorn to 1 Aquarius.  You may want to dive deep into research or try to understand the psychotic people around you.  Take your pick. Also, the area of life covered by the house in the birth chart that contains 28 Capricorn could go through a death and rebirth process.

Mercury enters Gemini until May 10.  Mercury rules Gemini and is very chatty here.  Everyone wants to talk and no one wants to listen.  A good time for writing, learning, and teaching.

Apr 30 – Partial Solar Eclipse at 10 Taurus. This eclipse looks very good.  The ruler of the eclipse is Venus (Venus rules Taurus) and Venus is conjunct Jupiter and the Eclipse is sextile Mars in Pisces and conjunct Uranus in Taurus.  Wow. A great start, abundance, and exciting times ahead.  I will write about how this eclipse will affect you personally in another report.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:

JUPITER moved into Pisces on Dec 2, 2021, and he will stay in Pisces until May 10, 2022.  This month he will travel from 21 to 27 degrees of Pisces. Jupiter is the old traditional ruler of Pisces so he is happy here. Jupiter is about growth and expansion and rules travel and education. Also, the areas of your life ruled by the house in your natal chart that contains Pisces will be more joyful and good luck could come in around those areas. Jupiter in Pisces is about our spiritual life and about the fine arts, theater, and poetry.  Pisces is a very creative sign and Jupiter is going to expand it. If you have personal planets or the ascendant between 19 and 29 degrees of Pisces expect expansion and blossoming in that area of your chart.

SATURN is in Aquarius until March 2023.  He is moving from 22 to 24 degrees of Aquarius this month.  Saturn rules our material world, and especially our career.  Saturn is the old traditional ruler of Aquarius.  So he is happy here.  If you have the ascendant or any personal planets 20 to 26 degrees of Aquarius, you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules. While Saturn is in Aquarius, he will run around trying to restrict all of the social media that he will call fake news.  He hates to see freedom of expression which is what Aquarius is all about.

URANUS is in Taurus until Apr 2026.  This month he moves from 12 to 14 degrees of Taurus.   This is the time to break loose and make some radical changes in your life. I believe in ‘cooperating with the inevitable’.  If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, (10 to 16 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio) go on a long vacation, preferably to somewhere you have never been before.   Or make some major changes in your life. Taurus is the earth.  Expect earth events such as earthquakes volcanos or major weather events during the period that Uranus is in Taurus.

NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026. This month he moves from at 23 to 24 degrees.  A lack of focus, a sense of drifting, or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the ascendant or Personal Planets at 21 to 26 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams, and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out during the time Neptune is in Pisces. 

PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023.  This month, Pluto stays at 28 degrees of Capricorn and turns retrograde on the 29^th.  Profound changes will be felt especially by those with the ascendant or personal planets at 26 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer to 1 degree of Aquarius or Leo.  What needs to die in order to be reborn?

The Great God Pan is Back

I remember reading a biography a long time ago where the author said, “Socrates has been thought of as the wisest man on Earth, but he had a primitive mind because he prayed to Pan”.  I rejected that statement right off and decided that Socrates was the wisest man on earth and if he prayed to Pan there must be a good reason.  So I decided to learn all about Pan. I found out that Socrates was praying to nature; to what is real. 

The reason I love the ancient Greeks is that they apply an image and a narrative to people and events.  Since studying the ancient Greeks, I have always looked for the gods hidden in events that happen in our world.  The Covid19 virus had me stumped until I saw a headline that said “Chinese attempt to spread panic through social media around the covid19 pandemic”.  DUH!  So it’s my ole friend Pan raising his ugly head. Pan has become translated as all nature.  Panic and pandemic are words associated with Pan

There is a Christian tradition that when the heavenly host told the shepherds at Bethlehem of the birth of Christ, there was a deep groan heard through all the isles of Greece that told that the great God Pan was dead and that all the royalty of Olympus was dethroned and that several deities were sent wandering in the cold and darkness.  With Pan gone, nature had been deprived of its creative voice.

We have been repressing Pan ever since.  Pan represents unbridled nature and we believe it has no place in our so-called civilized world. The virus also represents unbridled nature.  There is nothing foreign about this virus.  It belongs here on earth with us.  But because we have set ourselves against nature it has turned into a powerful enemy.  Pan has brought us to our knees wanting us to stop the carnage of his earth. So what is the best way to deal with this Pandemic?  How do we honor Pan? 

Stopping pollution and becoming more conscious of the earth will satisfy Pan. I think a more earth-friendly humanity is what Pan wants to see.

There are pictures on the internet about how clean the air is now and how the animals are entering into cities.  Pan is happy with all of that.  Don’t for one minute think the gods have been dethroned.  They are stronger than ever because they now reside in our unconscious.  As C. G. Jung stated, the gods have become our diseases.  So let’s bring all the gods of Olympus back to be honored.

Let’s honor Pan by growing gardens, taking care of the animals, and appreciating the natural beauty around us.

Happy Birthday Aquarius

In my experience, all Aquarians are wacky in some way or in some part of their life.  When you meet them it’s important to figure out where their strangeness resides so that you are not so surprised further on in your relationship. They care more about being honest than about being liked.  They can become delightful companions if you don’t mind being hit with cold, brutal truths about yourself.

They not only represent the archetype of the kid who said 'the emperor has no clothes', but also the archetype of Chicken Little proclaiming the 'sky is falling'.  They can see the future, so if you hear an Aquarian say something like that, run for cover. 

Aquarius rules the internet and free speech, so the uproar over censorship of the internet represents how Aquarians personally feel about being stifled and not allowed to express their ideas freely.  Aquarians have strong beliefs around equality so the demonstrations for freedom that break out around the world are usually inspired by Aquarian ideals.  

Aquarians love to make waves, which sometimes lead to positive changes in the world.  Some do it in a private way through their art like Jackson Pollock, Lewis Carroll or James Joyce or in a public way such as Rosa Parks and Yoko Ono.  We could probably survive without Aquarians, but this would be a much more boring place with all of us muddling along in our old ruts and routines adhering to our outmoded cultural values.

Zeus, king of the gods, was jealous of the aptitudes and abilities of mortal men.  Because of his jealousy he withheld from them the use of fire--symbol for the creative spirit--that would have made men too much like the gods.  Prometheus, a god himself, took pity on man.  He could see man’s potential. He stole the fire and offered it to man. He was not totally accepted by man because he was divine, yet the gods would not let him back into Olympus unless he apologized to Zeus.  But Prometheus said, “No, Zeus can do what he likes”.  Zeus took vengeance on Prometheus by chaining him to a rock.  Each day an eagle came and gnawed out his liver, and each night the liver grew back.  The agony continued until Hercules shot the eagle with an arrow and  set Prometheus free.

Aquarius Traits: Aquarians have noble impulses and believe in mankind’s spiritual potential. They are reformers who rebel against the traditional way of doing things.  Instead, they act on their own deeply felt beliefs. Aquarians won’t believe in or answer to a higher power.  Aquarians can bring their higher ideals and knowledge down to a level that everyone can use, but they are often outcasts, feeling alienated.  When Aquarians combine their cerebral energy with ambition and a goal, they are set free.

Novembeer 2019 Forecast

Saturn and Pluto are within 5 degrees of each other.  They are the two heavies.  Most of my clients are having both of these planets in the same house.  That is a lot of transformation and challenges in one place. Check the house that includes 13 to 22 Capricorn to see how this aspect is affecting you. See the Meaning of the Houses here.  This aspect will be exact in January 2020. I think we can see how this is acting in the outer world.  Some major institutions and corporations are under siege from Pluto.

Mercury is moving retrograde this month until Nov 20.  Everything could slow down now, especially your mind.  This can be a good thing for ‘monkey minds’ like Geminis, Sagittarians, and Pisces.  Take it slow, see what you can discover about yourself when your mind is not racing.  Mercury is in the sign of Pluto, delve deep into conspiracy theories, we have a lot to pick from nowadays.

Dates to Watch:

Nov 1 – Venus enters Sagittarius until Nov 25. This is a time to become extroverted and have fun.  Your friends will love being with you during this time.

Nov 5 – Mars Square Pluto at 20 Libra Capricorn.  This is not a good time to make changes or to force action.  Don’t begin anything.  If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars or the ascendant at 18 to 21 Libra or Capricorn, try not to lock horns with those nasty people in the executive offices.

Nov 8 – Sun Trine Neptune at 16 Scorpio/Pisces.  This is good for love and romance.  It increases our idealism.

Nov 11 – Sun Conjunct Mercury at 19 Scorpio.  You feel really sharp on this aspect.  Your mind is lit up by the Sun.  But don’t forget Mercury is in Scorpio so you may find out a deep dark secret about someone.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 17 to 21 of Scorpio or Taurus, do some research into why everyone around you needs some major psychotherapy?

Nov 12 – Full Moon at 19 Taurus.  This is a culmination of the New Moon of October 27.  Did you do an intention then?  Is it being fulfilled?  Taurus is a fixed sign of beauty, security, and loyalty.  They can be pretty stubborn though.  Stay loose during this Full Moon.

Nov 13 – Mercury Trine Neptune at 15 Scorpio/Pisces.  There could be good news coming to you; news that will inspire you.  A good day to go to an important interview.

Nov 14 – Venus Square Neptune at 15 Sagittarius/Pisces. Venus and Neptune are such sweet planets that you could be too timid and giving today.  Don’t let other people push you around especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 13 to 17 Sagittarius or Pisces.

Nov 19 – Mars enters Scorpio until January 4, 2020. Mars is a fiery powerhouse and Scorpio is a fixed water sign.  They can work together since Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio.  You can get a lot done on this one especially if it involves research.

Nov 20 – Mercury turns direct at 11 Scorpio.  He will be in Scorpio until Dec 9. You could be very sensitive to other people's remarks at this time.  Other people could be jealous of you. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 9 to 13 Scorpio, try to forgive and forget.

Nov 22 – Sun enters Sagittarius. We are getting weary of the darkness of Scorpio and of their emotional tantrums.  We emerge from that cloud and decide that it's time to have fun and no one, I mean no one knows how to have fun like a Sagittarius.

Nov 24 – Venus Conjunct Jupiter at 28 Sagittarius.  Jupiter rules Sagittarius so we have a doubling of the Sagittarius energy.  Venus brings in friendships and love.  Be careful not to go overboard and promise more to your friends than you can deliver.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 26 to 29 Sagittarius, be careful not to spend too much or eat too much.

          Mars opposite Uranus at 3 Scorpio/Taurus. A lot of astrologers would advise some self-control on this one.  But I don’t believe in repressing Uranus.  Instead, engage the Uranus and fight for progress whatever that is in our crazy mixed up climate.  If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 1 to 5 degrees of Scorpio or Taurus, you may decide to take a trip to a place you have never been before.

Nov 25 – Venus enters Capricorn December 20. You were gathering a lot of friends with Venus in Sagittarius. Now you decide you want to have just one mature, loyal buddy.  This is the time of commitment.

Nov 26 – New Moon at 4 Sagittarius. This month could bring in the itch to travel. People you meet on your trips will be warm and friendly.

Nov 27 – Neptune turns direct at 15 Pisces.  This is a big deal. Neptune is casting its amorphous vibration down on us especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 13 to 17 Pisces.  We could all feel disconnected or indecisive today.  It is a great time for music and any of the arts.

Nov 28 – Mercury Trine Neptune at 15 Scorpio/Pisces.  I’m taking a course online on Fairy Tales.  It’s a perfect thing to do on this one. Study something that you can’t possibly get college credit for. How about Shamanism?

          Venus Trine Uranus at 3 Capricorn/Taurus.  I like this one because I like Uranus.  He brings in the unusual. Venus rules love and beauty.  This aspect could bring in a new love interest with someone who could be an anarchist.  Or a more sensible way to spend the day is going to a museum to appreciate art.  Take your pick if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 1 to 5 Capricorn or Taurus.

The timing of the summit is fortuitous.  It is a manifestation of the Saturn (reality Principle) square Neptune (higher worlds) that has been playing out in June and July.  Saturn is seeing through the veil to other realities. (Neptune).

Also, the major aspect this month is Uranus slowing down to turn retrograde at the end of the month.  Uranus is not tied down by Pluto anymore and is kicking up the dust around individual rights. Examples are the Brexit vote, the Supreme Court decisions regarding “choice” and –always-- of course,Trump.  Look for more liberating ideas and events this month.  The ancient wisdom summit may also bring us some ideas of who we really are in contrast to what we are being told by the media culture.

Jul 3 – Sun Trine Neptune at 11 Cancer/Pisces.  You feel you want to devote yourself to a higher cause and be of service.  That’s OK, but keep your feet on the ground.  You really want to play Joan of Arc if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) or the ascendant at 10 to 12 Cancer, Pisces of Scorpio.

Jul 4 – New Moon at 12 Cancer at 7:01 AM EDT. Its time to start something new.  Look to your chart for the house that contains 12 Cancer.  That is the area where the initiation into new projects will occur. To see what areas of life are ruled by each house, check out the Meaning of Houses.

Jul 5 – Mercury Trine Neptune at 11 Cancer/Pisces.  A day for inspired thinking.

          Sun conjunct Mercury at 15 Cancer.  This aspect will see us scampering around the house doing the boring little housewife things.

Jul 7 – Mercury Opposite Pluto at 16 Cancer/Capricorn.  You know the kind of people who are so set in their own ideas that you cannot  jam a new thought into their skulls?  Well, you are one of those today.

          Venus Square Uranus at 24 Cancer/Aries.  Your partner would like to have a discussion about your relationships, ouch.  Or maybe do some counseling..  But you are digging in your heels about any of it. You refuse to budge.  See where that gets you.

Jul 12 – Venus enters Leo until Aug 5. Venus is the Roman Goddess of Beauty, she is just entering the sign of The Queen.  We all want to be admired.  That may result in our buying jewelry, a big new car or whatever we need to show off.

Jul 13 – Mercury enters Leo until Jul 30. Mercury is the God of communications.  In Leo he will want to impress others with his knowledge. We may become bombastic and obnoxious as we spout our half-baked ideas.

Jul 16 – Sun Square Uranus at 24 Cancer/Aries.  We lack the discipline to get anything at all accomplished. We can get thrown off base by all the events happening around us.  Keep cool especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 24 Cancer or Aries.

          Mercury Conjunct Venus at 5 Cancer. You may receive an important message from a friend or potential lover.  Check those emails and facebook.

          Sun Trine Mars at 24 Cancer/Scorpio.  This aspects will lessen the impact of the Sun Square Uranus.  It will help you flow with events.

Jul 19 – Full Moon at 27 Capricorn at 6:56 PM EDT. The Full Moon brings to completion the events started on the New Moon of July 4.

          Mercury Trine Saturn at 10 Leo/Sagittarius.  A good time to be realistic.  Add to your savings for the rainy day.  Oh! It’s here?  Sorry.

Jul 20 – Venus Trine Saturn at 10 Leo/Sagittarius.  Another sober day. This one is very positive for relationships.  You may hear from a friend you haven’t seen in years.

Jul 22 – Sun enters Leo until August 22.  It’s party time.  Last month with the sun in Cancer, we wanted to be home with the family.  Now we want our friends around.

Jul 27 – Mercury Trine Uranus at 25 Leo/Aries.  A good day to travel, to write and to enter into new friendships.

Jul 29 – Mercury Square Mars at 28 Leo/Scorpio.  Keep your tongue and your keyboard under control—you are just itching for a fight.

          Uranus stationary turning retrograde at 24 Aries and will stay retrograde until December 29, 2016.  This is the biggie this month.  Look at your chart for any personal planets or your ascendant at 22 to 27 of Aries or Libra.  Uranus represents the freedom urge.  But the old must be destroyed before the new can come in.  During the retrograde this urge for freedom may not be conscious.  You may notice everyone around you wanting to break free and going into crazy patterns, while you feel you are entirely innocent of this crazy acting out.  You’re not!

Jul 30 – Mercury enters Virgo until Oct 7. The reason that Mercury is spending such a long time in Virgo is because – wait for it-- he is turning retrograde on August 30 for approximately 3 weeks.  Mercury is happy in Virgo, he gets to analyze, pick things apart and take his time.

Finally the elections are over.  Doesn’t the campaigning go on too long until we are all exhausted and just want it over with?  What I noticed with this election is that a lot of shadow projection was, and is, going on in our nation’s politics.  The shadow is a Jungian term for all the instinctive, irrational and unconscious parts of ourselves The shadow is the negative parts of our personality that were unacceptable to our parents when we were growing up, unacceptable to the society and are unacceptable to us because we want to appear and believe ourselves to not have any negative qualities.  Rage, envy, jealousy and other negative emotions result from shadow material.  The shadow is exemplified by the witch in fairy tales, a way to introduce the shadow to children who love these tales.  These days, of course, the shadow is being portrayed by the vampire, especially in the Twilight Saga and the teenagers are using him for their projections. The jury is sill out whether or not it is healthy for young people to have something to project onto. 

But, back to our election.  We have always had a country to hate and to project our shadow onto.  Japan during World War II and Russia in more recent times Well, we don’t have a country to project onto anymore, so I believe we are projecting onto the candidates.  I have seen each of the candidates demonized by the other. And people around me were terrified that their candidate wouldn’t win.  But we have no idea who these candidates really are or what they would do if elected. In the past, they have acted contrary to what we were led to believe about them.  For example, when Romney was governor of Massachusetts, he was pro-choice and pro-universal health care.  Obama in his last term passed a National Defense Authorization Act which to me is the end of Democracy as we know it. It basically makes our country a place where any citizen can be detained indefinitely without a trial and without due process.  I’m sure this act will be used against the Occupiers. All we do know about these candidates is what the media tells us. Even though we now have hundreds of TV stations, so that it appears that we have a choice where we are getting our information, the major TV stations are all owned by only 6 Corporations. There is a similar situation with our major newspapers.  So we only know the candidates by what the major Corporations tell us.  And then we have the Commission on Presidential Debates which was set up by the Democratic and Republican parties in 1987, to make sure there was no TV exposure for any third party. I wanted to see Jill Stein, the green party candidate debate Romney and Obama. Fat Chance!

I must say here that I am very happy that the Creepy Anti-Choice, Legitimate Rape guys got defeated. There are all Republicans, but if Romney won the election, would he have aligned with these creeps? As Woody Allen said in one of his movies, it is all a travesty and a sham, a sham and a travesty

PS:  Just heard today, Nov 30, that Sen Dianne Feinstein and Mike lee have introduced an Amendment to the NDAA to protect American citizens against indefinite detention.  I hope it passes.

Sorry for this rant.  Let’s go on to something more pleasant like the end of the world.

This is the month of the dreaded or eagerly awaited Winter Solstice of 2012; the end of the Mayan Long Count. Dec 2 – Sun Opposite Jupiter.   You tend to exaggerate today.  You are telling some tall tales and everyone is on to you.

Dec 10 – Mercury enters Sagittarius until December 29, 2012. Mercury turned direct on November 26.  Mercury has been in Scorpio bringing up strong, irrational feelings.  Now we will be able to let go of the heavy thoughts and start chatting with our friends and having fun.

Dec 11 - Mercury Square Neptune.  Don’t travel today, you may lose your luggage.  You are not playing with a full deck.  Confusion and deceit is the name of the game.

Dec 13 – New Moon at 21 Sagittarius.  This New Moon heralds the start of more energy, freedom and a desire to be up and doing. It calls for action.

            Uranus turns Direct at 4 degrees Aries.  While Uranus has been retrograde (since July 2012), he was still making changes, but they were behind the scenes.  We had no idea what he was up to.  Now we will see these changes manifest on a global scale.  Maybe our government will start to do some real work.  Stranger things have happened.  The revolutions around the world may get more intense.  You may feel a bit rebellious yourself if you have any personal planets (Sun, Mercury, Moon, Venus or Mars) or the Ascendant at 4 Aries/Libra.

Dec 14 – Mercury Trine Uranus.  Mercury is helping Uranus make the radical changes he wants to make now that he is direct.  On a personal level this is a great time to write some outrageous blog posts.

Dec 15 – Venus enters Sagittarius until January 8, 2013.  Venus has been in Scorpio since Thanksgiving.  So we were mired down in all kinds of emotional crap.  Now Venus can do what she does best, flirt, and flit around and not fall into any boring commitments.

Dec 16 – Venus Square Neptune. You may be too timid on this one.  Maybe you are a pushover because you want everyone to be “nice” and get along.  And you want so much to be loved that you will sacrifice your individual feelings.

Dec 17 – Mercury Opposite Jupiter.  Today you may be talking your head off,bragging about what a great guy/girl you are.  Seriously, no one wants to hear it - back off.

Dec 19 – Venus Trine Uranus.  This is a nice aspect.  You can go out and see some beautiful paintings, hear pleasing music and have fun with your friends.

Dec 21 – Sun enters Capricorn until January 19, 2013. The Winter Solstice.

So the story goes that on this date the Sun aligns with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy exactly for the first time in 26,000 years. The energy from the center of the galaxy is streaming into our energy field.

Dec 22 – Venus Opposite Jupiter. A day for extravagance and excess.  Don’t eat that second donut.  In one day, you could gain all the weight back that you lost over the last month.

Dec 25 – Mars enters Aquarius until Feb 1, 2013. Mars in Aquarius likes to save the world.  He wants to get involved in social action.  Usually Mars is all about “me”, but in this placement he turns his thoughts to the world and what he can do about the many problems we have now.

Dec 28, 2012 – Full Moon at 7 Cancer. This Full Moon has the Sun conjunct Pluto.  Pluto wants to transform our structures by first destroying what we have built us and then rebuilding -- regeneration is the word.  This Full Moon may find you very emotional and dealing with lots of past grief, hurts and pain.

Dec 31 – Mercury enters Capricorn until Jan 18, 2013. Mercury in Capricorn is very serious.  He just wants to talk about business, old ideas, old stuff.  Good time to go antiquing.  

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS 

JUPITER is in Gemini until Aug 27, 2013. This month Jupiter is moving retrograde and will move from 11 Gemini to 7 Gemini. During the retrograde, your plans for expansion may slow down. You don’t feel as exuberant as you did.  Look to the house in your natal chart that holds 7 to 11 Gemini. In this area of your life you may feel limited during the retrograde.

SATURN is in Scorpio until Dec 24, 2014. November 2012 Forecast

I am heartbroken because of Hurricane Sandy.  My favorite place in the world is the barrier islands of southern New Jersey.  We went every year and stayed for a month.  I hesitated to buy property there because of the global warming forecast that hurricanes would be much more powerful and destructive in the future because of the rise in the ocean levels.  So I am glad that I didn’t buy on the barrier island, but it is sad to see the pictures of Ocean City streets, homes and the amusement park damaged or destroyed.

I think the most important news that trumps the upcoming election and hurricane Sandy is the news that there is more evidence that the world we live in is a computer simulation. Some nerd somewhere has created our world on his computer and we think it is real!  I think knowing we are all in a Sim City computer game relieves a lot of stress.  Think about it!  Read Huffington Post

The nerd that created me has installed a bug in my DNA that keeps me looking at the stars. Oh Well!  Here we go.  November will be a busy month because of two eclipses and Mercury turning retrograde on Nov 6.

Those of you with planets at 5 to 8 degrees of cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn) are probably exhausted by now trying to keep the Uranus/Pluto transformative, rebellious energies at bay in your life.  Well, it ain’t over yet for you.  For the first 3 days of Nov., Venus will be opposing and squaring the Pluto/Uranus aspect and then Mars conjuncts Pluto on Nov 27.  Venus and Mars moving into the Pluto/Uranus square increases the impact of the square.  So whatever you have been dealing with will have more energy especially around your relationships and your work.

Nov 9 – Venus Trine Jupiter at 14 degrees of Libra/Gemini.  A recovery day for all of the relationship angst from the beginning of the month.  You will enjoy yourself today, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 13 to 15 degrees of Libra or Gemini.

Nov 11 – Neptune turns direct at 0 Pisces.  A very confusing day for those of you with personal planets or the ascendant at 28 Aquarius through 2 Pisces.

Nov 13 – Solar Eclipse at 21 Scorpio.  I will be sending an eclipse report out covering this eclipse and the lunar eclipse of Nov 28. 

            Mercury Square Neptune.  Your thinking is still screwy.

Nov 14 – Mercury enters Scorpio until Dec 10.  When Mercury (our mind) enters the suspicious sign of Scorpio, we all get a little paranoid.  It is a good placement for doing research or reading mysteries.

Nov 16 – Mars enters Capricorn until 25 December. Mars is very grounded in Capricorn.  It is time to put your energy into your career and to build a good foundation for the future.

Nov 17 – Sun conjunct Mercury.  A favorable time for a trip and also a good time to dig into those difficult novels you have meant to read.  Try Balzac.  Good ahead, you can do it.

Nov 21 – Sun enters Sagittarius until Dec 21.  During this month we get restless with an itch to travel. 

            Venus enters Scorpio until Dec 15.  Our love life gets way more intense now.  We won’t settle for the namby pamby kinda guys we have been hanging out with.  We want the dark, dangerous type now.

Nov 22 – Sun square Neptune at 0 Sagittarius/Pisces.  We are feeling very idealistic today.  We can make some really wrong decisions especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 9 Sagittarius or Pisces

            Venus trine Neptune.  This is a pleasant aspect, very good for any artistic work and for decorating your home.

Nov 23 – Mars square Uranus at 4 Capricorn/Aries.  Our energy is erratic today, watch out for accidents.  You have a tendency to drive too fast today.

Nov 26 – Sun Trine Uranus.  And exciting time.  A fun party is on tap for today.

            Mercury turns direct at 8 degrees of Scorpio.  Finally Mercury is moving direct. You can finally do your Xmas shopping and move ahead in business.

            Venus conjunct Saturn at 6 Scorpio.  We get very serious today about our relationships.  We want to make a long term commitment.

Nov 27 – Mars conjunct Pluto at 7 Capricorn.  We are very hard-headed today, no one can tell us anything.  We know it all.  Again those of you with 5 to 8 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn are especially stubborn,  unmovable and unreasonable.

Nov 28 – Lunar Eclipse at 6 Gemini.  This is a more emotional eclipse than the one on Nov 13.  I will write more about this eclipse in my eclipse article.

October 2012 Forecast

The Full Moon of Sep 29 at 7 Aries created a T-Square (3 planets square each other) with the Uranus/Pluto square.  A lot of folks out there have been going thru trauma.  It is still in effect until 4 days and after that Full Moon.  When will this Uranus/Pluto thing end?  Not until 2015 I’m afraid.  Maybe we all need to let go, and let God.  Never thought I would be thinking that way, but this Pluto/Uranus Square has hit me and the people around me pretty hard.

Is there any good news, yes I think we will come out the other end of this on a higher psychologically conscious level than we are now.  We would have learned a lot about who we are, what we really need to be happy and how to work together.  That is the way it happens in the charts of the people I consult, Pluto is death and rebirth and there is a rebirth when the transit is over and Uranus brings shocks and separations, but most of the time (not always) it gets rid of things or people you no longer need.

This month we have Jupiter turning retrograde on Oct 4 and Saturn entering Scorpio on Oct 5. 

Dates to Watch:

Oct 3 – Venus moves into Virgo until Oct 28.  Normally Venus can be kinda sleazy, but in Virgo, she starts to put on the high-collared white blouse and long skirt and pretend it’s 1890’s.  We will all feel so prim and proper during this transit.   We want to ring the bell for the downstairs maid to bring us some tea.  And we don’t want to get down and dirty and go to a Irish Pub and sling down some ale with the guys.  Wait for Venus to move into Scorpio for that sort of behavior, tsk-tsk.

            Venus opposite Neptune.  You are a little confused about your relationships and about how much money you have in the bank and if you are overdrawn or if your mate is telling the truth.  Be careful of being deceived, you are not thinking straight about love or money and what else is there?

Oct 4 – Jupiter turns Retrograde at 16 Gemini and stays retrograde until January 13, 2013.  For more info, read Lynn Koiner on Jupiter Retrograde

Oct 5 – Saturn enters Scorpio until December 2014.  Look for the house in your natal chart that contains Scorpio.  Saturn will reside in that house for 2 12 years. This is the area of life that will demand our attention.  We will be willing to take a hard realistic look at how we are handling this area. Saturn will demand patience and acceptance in those matters that have not worked out so well for us.  It is at this time that Saturn’s most important lesson come forward.  When Saturn was in Libra the lessons were around marriage and on the national scene the gay marriage debate asked us to define marriage.

Now Scorpio is about taxes and other people’s money.  Scorpio rules Power, Saturn rules Government and Business structures.  At this time we will learn about who has the power in our society.  Scorpio also rules foundations and grants.  Finally it rules Psychology because it covers transformation, not only on the physical level but also on the mental/emotional level.  Expect to see more self-help books.

            Mercury Conjunct Saturn.  Pay attention to the details even though you are feeling a little depressed and what to end it all.  Think of all those people out there with Mercury in Capricorn, they feel like this all the time.

            Mercury Enters Scorpio until Oct 29.  We start to have fanatical strong opinions on this one and become an interrogator trying to pry others secrets from them.

            Venus Trine Neptune.  This is a great aspect for decorating your home.  Dig out all those paintings from the attic that you have been too lazy to frame and hang up.

Oct 6 – Mars enters Sagittarius until Nov 16, 2012.  Mars the planet of sex gets a little randy in this sign.  You want to kid around, travel, and go on an adventure.  You set a goal and go for it, but sometimes you forget the people you leave in the dust.  Be a little more considerate.

Oct 7 – Mars Square Neptune.  Be careful of your actions today, they may not be on the up and up.  You may unintentionally deceive someone.

Oct 9 – Sun Trine Jupiter.  This can bring in financial and educational opportunities but you have to be alert to the possibilities and go for it.

            Venus Trine Pluto.  This is a day for deepening all of your relationships.  Also a good day for investing.

Oct 10 – Saturn Trine Neptune.  I think when Saturn and Neptune pair up in a good aspect it is a very creative AND productive time. Take advantage of this day.

Oct 15 – New Moon at 22 Libra at 8:03:00 AM EDT.  The start of a new month.  Get busy and plant seeds of what you want to see in the coming month.

            Mars Trine Uranus.  It is time to think about the future and also to let your thinking and planning go into areas it has never gone before.

Oct 16 – Venus Square Jupiter.  Personal matters are upsetting.  Wait awhile before making a decision.  You may overreact.

Oct 22 – Sun enters Scorpio until Nov 21, 2012.  This is the month of darkness descending, Halloween and a time the vampires come out. 

Oct 23 – Sun Trine Neptune.  This stimulates your idealism.  Go out and support your political choice, the one with character and integrity, heh, heh.

Oct 25 – Sun Conjunct Saturn.   You feel restricted today. Concentrate on a difficult task.  Not a good time to try to spread your wings.

Oct 28 – Mars Opposite Jupiter. You may take a big risk today that will not pay off.Watch out for extravagant claims.

            Venus enters Libra until Nov 21, 2012.  Venus is right at home in Libra.  We will be feeling romantic and begin looking for that significant other.

Oct 29 – Full Moon at 6 Taurus at 3:39 PM EDT.  This is the culmination of things begun at the New Moon of October 15.

            Mercury Square Neptune.  I was born with this aspect.  It causes spaciness and ADD episodes.  So if you are confused and kinda ditsy today, realize that I am like this all the time.

            Mercury enters Sagittarius until Nov 14 when it retrogrades back into Scorpio.  Yes, indeed, Mercury will turn retrograde next month.  Guess on what day.  Nov 6, Election Day!  Mercury is the trickster.  We will see what antics he is up to on that day.  There will be many astrological predictions on what Mercury turning around in the sky will mean for the election.  For a good analysis of Mitt Romney’s chart, see The Oxford Astrologer
