October 2025 Forecast

October is another intense and eventful period, especially around mid-month when Pluto turns direct. All of the personal planets are changing signs—Mercury moves into Scorpio, Venus enters Libra, and Mars just moved into Scorpio at the end of September. Nearly all the outer planets are retrograde this month, which may leave us spinning our wheels—revising, correcting, and wrapping up unfinished business rather than moving forward. October also offers an opportunity to recover from the losses experienced during the September eclipses. This month, we may begin to understand that certain closures were necessary to create more space in our lives. However, we might not yet see how everything will ultimately unfold. The September 7 Total Lunar Eclipse hit me hard. My web host announced they are going out of business, my thyroid medication is being taken off the market by the FDA, and I became ill and had to go on a radical diet. The eclipse season ends with the New Moon in Aries on October 6. Many of us have had to recalibrate our lives.

Uranus is retrograde in Gemini and preparing to re-enter Taurus on November 7. Meanwhile, Neptune, now in Aries, will retrograde back into Pisces on October 21. This means the beautiful trine and sextile between the Big Three outer planets—Pluto in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Aries—will soon be coming to a close, at least temporarily. Pluto turns direct on October 13 and will remain in Aquarius until 2043. Unlike earlier retrogrades, he will not backtrack into Capricorn.

Fleet-footed Mercury is highly active this month. It moves into Scorpio, aligns with Mars, forms squares to both Jupiter and Pluto, then later trines Jupiter and Saturn before entering Sagittarius and finally opposing Uranus. Mercury represents our rational, intellectual, and communicative faculties—it governs all exchanges with others. This month, with so many dynamic aspects, we may find ourselves changing our minds repeatedly.

Oct 1 – Mercury Square Jupiter at 22 degrees of Libra/Cancer. You could be arrogant and puffed-up today. You think that you know it all. OR you may run into that type of character today.

Oct 6 – Mercury moves into Scorpio until October 29. Your mind becomes decisive, persistent and ambitious now. You question everything to the last detail. You like intrigues and exaggerated mystification. You could be nosy about the private life of others. Try to behave yourself

Full Moon at 14 Aries. The Moon is in Aries and the Sun is in Libra. We could have new revelations occur now, particularly regarding our physical bodies, leadership skills, ability to initiate and begin new things, and close partnerships. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other–and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.

Oct 7 – Mercury Square Pluto at 1 degree of Scorpio/Aquarius. Your ideas can become very fixed and you have a compulsive need to communicate these ideas. You want to persuade other people to think as you do. You could become intolerant, underhanded and selfish.

Oct 11 – Venus opposite Saturn at 27 degrees of Virgo/Pisces. You have difficulties making contact so you feel lonely and unloved. You continuously demand guarantees and proof of love in a relationship.

Oct 13 – Venus enters Libra until Nov 6. You can do your best art work now. But relationships could interfere with your work because you are so charming and attractive now that people will want to be around you. Pluto turns direct at 1 degree of Aquarius after his retrograde motion since May 4th. Intensity is with us in the days surrounding this date with a strong focus on ambition and the need to feel empowered. Over the coming weeks and months, the power to make deep changes in our lives becomes more insistent and direct (less internalized). We are less likely to brood over changes that we feel have been thrust upon us and more likely to make necessary changes

Venus opposite Neptune at 0 degrees of Libra/Aries. You have an insatiable longing for love. If you act on this longing you could suffer bitter disillusionment. You could get lost in deception and misleading ideas. You could be deceived and scammed. Venus rules love and money. Try to be levelheaded in both areas.

Oct 14 – Venus Trine Uranus at 0 Degrees of Libra/Gemini. Your contacts will be original, humorous but noncommittal now. You want an open relationship with someone unique and unusual. If the partnership you are in now doesn’t give you the freedom you need, you are outta there.

Venus trine Pluto at 1 degree of Libra/Aquarius. This can bring in an intense relationship. And it can bring in extreme wealth. You could be transformed through a confrontation with a partner. You have an irresistible aura and erotic magnetism now--be careful.

Oct 17 – Sun Square Jupiter at 24 degrees of Libra/Cancer. You could be unreliable, indolent, conceited and demanding. You have an exaggerated attitude and expectations toward life. You could become a con artist.

Oct 20 – Mercury Conjunct Mars at 18 degrees of Scorpio. Watch out for your sharp tongue. You may provoke verbal confrontations. You have a nasty month and are a nervous wreck--restless and edgy. Don’t interrupt when others are speaking. Try to respect other people’s opinions.

Oct 21 – New Moon at 29 Libra. New Moons are about new beginnings. In Libra, it’s time to take charge of our relationships and give them their due attention, as well as working on our negotiation and partnering skills. The resolution of conflicts is in focus. Because this lunation is square Jupiter and Pluto, we should watch for exaggeration and excess. Shooting too high or too far won’t help us achieve our goals any sooner.

Oct 22 – Neptune backs up into Pisces. You are back to dreaming of sacrificing yourself for another—don’t do that. This is a good time to dig into shamanism or mysticism. You may have an airy-fairy concept of the world. Did you have problems with Neptune when he was in Pisces from Apr 2011 through March 2025? Did you drink too much? Were you susceptible to vampires? What did you learn, Dorothy?

Sun enters Scorpio until Nov 21. Scorpio is the sign of depth and extremes. Scorpio is not interested in the superficial or mediocre. Scorpio wants to explore everything that is concealed, secretive suppressed and taboo.This is a good month to do research into arcane subjects, but don’t get caughtin a fascinating conspiracy that you see on YouTube.

Oct 24 – Sun Square Pluto at 1 degrees Scorpio/Aquarius. You may try to enslave others to give you control and to exploit them. You could have obsessed and compulsive ideas regard interpersonal relationships and sexuality.

Mercury Trine Jupiter at 24 degrees of Scorpio/Cancer. I have nothing nasty to say about this one. This gives a great thirst for knowledge and an ambition for higher education. You could be interested in philosophy and religion. This is good for studying languages.

Oct 25 – Mercury Trine Saturn at 26 Scorpio/Pisces. This gives you a talent for clear, logical thinking, writing and speaking. You may slow down on this one but that helps you to be more thorough, tactical and clever.

Oct 28 – Mars Trine Jupiter at 24 Scorpio/Cancer. This brings optimism, success and a fight for your high ideals. You put great trust in the power of the masculine.

Oct 29 – Mercury enters Sagittarius. He turns retrograde at 6 degrees of Sagittarius on Nov 9 and backs up into Scorpio on Nov 18. Mercury stations direct on Nov 29 in Scorpio and will reenter Sagittarius on 11 Dec. Mercury in Sagittarius gives you an opportunity to indulge in a wide range of interests. You could build confidence in others and restore their faith in humanity.

Mars trine Saturn at 25 Scorpio/Pisces. This brings controlled, focused energy. You have the discipline to finish what you started and to do what’s necessary.

Mercury opposite Uranus at 0 degrees of Sagittarius/Gemini. You are a scatterbrain. You are an eccentric that leaps from one idea to another. You suffer from extreme impatience and that makes you a poor listener. You arecompletely tactless in your speech.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS FOR OCTOBER 2025

JUPITER is in Cancer until June 20, 2026. This month, he will move from 22 to 24 degrees of Cancer. Jupiter is the big, fat, happy guy who is expansive in everything. In Cancer, he wants to expand your home and family. Watch out for intrusive visitors, family members moving in or unexpected pregnancies. This transit can bring luck and blessings to our home and family, but sometimes it could be too much of a good thing.

SATURN will be in Pisces until Feb 2026. This month he is moving retrograde from 27 to 25 Pisces. Saturn rules your material world and especially your career. If you have the ascendant or any personal planets anywhere from 23 to 29 degrees of Pisces, you may be in store for some hard lessons about the issues in the house containing Pisces. Pisces wants to dream, listen to music and paint pictures, but Saturn says, sorry, you have work to do.

URANUS entered Gemini on July 7 and will stay in Gemini until May 2033. This month he is moving retrograde from 1 to 0 degrees of Gemini. This is the time to break loose and radically change your life. I believe in ‘cooperating with the inevitable.’ If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets (28 degrees of Taurus to 3 degrees of Gemini) go on an extended vacation, preferably to somewhere you have never been before. Or make some significant changes in your life. Gemini representscommunications so expect to get some shocking new information while Uranus is in Gemini.

NEPTUNE is in Aries until March 2039. This month he is moving retrograde from 0 Aries to 29 degrees of Pisces. If you have the ascendant or personal planets anywhere from 27 degrees of Pisces to 2 degrees of Aries, you may lack focus during this time and want to daydream. Beware of a betrayal, a disappointment, and a sense of drifting. Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, and creative expression, increased dreams, and spiritual insights. When Neptune was in Pisces, you were feeling like a victim, now in Aries youdecide to take charge of your destiny.

PLUTO is in Aquarius until 2043. Pluto is moving retrograde this month until Oct 13 when he turns direct at 1 degree of Aquarius. This month Pluto will stay at 1 degree of Aquarius. Pluto grinds away at your psyche, bringing up all sorts of complex psychological issues. You should run to your nearest therapist, especially if you have the ascendant or personal planets anywhere from 0 to 3 degrees of Aquarius. Pluto asks what needs to die to be reborn.
