Astrological Forecast for February, 2026

Waking up to your true self, Neptune in Aries

1/31/20269 min read

We are the true heroes of the universe, but most of us don’t know it because we’ve taken on a voluntary amnesia –George Kavassilas….or in L. Frank Baum’s words, “We have been asleep in the poppy fields.”… or in the words of the Grateful Dead “what a long strange trip it’s been.

********

The amnesia ends this month. It’s time to wake up. Pisces is the zodiac sign associated with amnesia, forgetfulness, dreams, faith, and delusion. Neptune, Pisces’ ruling planet, is especially powerful in its own sign and has been performing its chaotic dance there since 2011. (Apologies to Pisces for singling you out—your sign also governs creativity and imagination, but Neptune’s long stay has highlighted Pisces’ shadow side: delusion.) I’ll admit, it was comforting to hold unshakable faith that some hero, superman, institution, or organization would take care of us. But now Neptune has moved into Aries, and it’s time to learn how to live without these illusions. With Neptune in Aries, we gain the self-confidence to turn inward and find our own answers. Saturn will enter Aries—the sign of war—on the 13th, joining Neptune at 0 degrees Aries. This degree marks the zodiac’s reset point. We haven’t seen this conjunction in 6,000 years, and this year brings many unprecedented, never-before-seen alignments.

This month is intense, charged, and unpredictable—especially from the 13th through the 20th. We can expect restlessness, chaotic developments, and sudden turns. The month begins with five planets in rebellious Aquarius: the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto. Uranus, Aquarius’ ruler, then appears to pause in the sky at 27 degrees Taurus. Mercury turns retrograde on the 26th. Saturn moves into Aries on the 13th, and if that isn’t enough, we also have a Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees Aquarius in a square to Uranus, along with the world-changing conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at 0 degrees Aries.

Aquarius—and Uranus, its ruling planet—leave their unmistakable stamp on this month. If Aquarius energy feels unfamiliar, this period may be unsettling. Aquarius, Gemini, Libra, and Sagittarius may adapt more easily, while Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, and Capricorn could feel more on edge, and “clutching their pearls.” Our old way of seeing the world is dissolving, and something new is beginning to emerge. The ending is becoming clearer to many of us, while the beginning remains less defined. This may be a time to relax into uncertainty and allow space for the unknown.

Highlights for this month:

Note to my Astrology Clients. Use your Planetary Placement and Ascendant sheet to find if you have a personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) or the ascendant within 2 degrees of the degree of the transits listed below. If so, the transit will have a significant impact on you.

Feb 1 – Full Moon at 13 Leo. Emotions run high under this Full Moon, and whatever rises to the surface is likely to center on Leo themes such as recognition, loyalty, and reclaiming joy after a period of restraint. This lunation invites a balance between Leo’s desire for personal expression and Aquarius’s broader, collective vision. Collective impulses may be felt more strongly on an individual level, making this an excellent time for creative expression in all areas of life.

This Full Moon opposes Venus at 18 Aquarius, heightening emotional awareness around love, self-expression, and the need to feel seen and appreciated. The Leo emphasis calls for courage of the heart—an opportunity to celebrate joy and authenticity while also noticing where pride or unmet expectations may be shaping reactions. This lunation offers a moment to recalibrate how openly we give love and how gracefully we receive it.

Feb 2 – Groundhog Day. I don’t believe in much, but I do believe in Punxsutawney Phil, let’s hope he predicts the end of winter.

Feb 3 – Uranus stations direct at 27 Taurus. Uranus is known for shaking things up, and as it shifts direction, stalled developments may begin moving forward again—sometimes in surprising ways. Watch for “earthquakes,” both geological and personal, especially if you have planets or angles between 25 and 29 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio.

Feb 5 – Mercury square Uranus at 27 degrees Aquarius/Taurus.** You may feel more restless, eccentric, or scattered than usual under this aspect. Be open to unexpected news or sudden changes in plans. At the same time, this transit can spark flashes of insight, making it a fertile day for spontaneous, innovative ideas and creative problem-solving.

Feb 6 – Mercury enters Pisces, where he remains until April 14, when he moves into Aries. Mercury’s extended stay in Pisces is due to his retrograde cycle, beginning on the 26th and ending when he turns direct on March 20. During this period, communication becomes more intuitive and emotionally attuned. You may find yourself more empathetic toward others’ experiences. Mercury governs how we think and communicate, and in Pisces, he tends to express itself through images, impressions, and subtle emotional cues rather than strict logic.

Feb 8 – Venus square Uranus at 27 degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Relationships may feel tense or unpredictable today. You or others could come across as willful, abrupt, or emotionally distant, making it easy to act without considering the impact on one another. There may be a strong desire for freedom or space, especially in situations that feel confining or overly structured. This energy can bring underlying issues to the surface, particularly in relationships that have grown rigid. Those with personal planets or angles between 25 and 29 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio may feel this influence more strongly.

Feb 10 – Venus enters Pisces, where she remains until March 6. Venus is exalted in Pisces, expressing her most compassionate, tender, and selfless qualities. This phase supports forgiveness, emotional openness, and gentle connection. It can be a beautiful time for reconciliation, creative inspiration, and romantic experiences. However, with sensitivity heightened, it’s wise to stay grounded, as idealism or wishful thinking could blur boundaries.

Feb 13 – Saturn leaves Pisces and enters Aries for approximately three years. It’s time to stop whining. You have been playing ‘the poor me’ since 2023. This shift marks a call to action and personal responsibility. Saturn in Aries encourages self-reliance, courage, and disciplined effort toward personal goals. It asks us to develop inner strength, build confidence, and act with intention rather than impulse. During this period, conflicts may arise more readily, offering opportunities to assert boundaries and clarify priorities. Saturn’s passage through a sign tends to refine and strengthen that archetype, as well as the house it occupies in the birth chart, bringing lessons in maturity and accountability.

Feb 14 – Valentine’s Day. With Venus in sensitive Pisces seeking closeness and tenderness, and Mars in independent Aquarius craving space and autonomy, there may be mixed signals in matters of the heart. One person may want intimacy while the other needs room to breathe. Patience, humor, and simple gestures of appreciation may go further than grand romantic expectations today. Stay home and just send a card.

Feb 16 – Sun square Uranus at 27 degrees Aquarius/Taurus. You may encounter someone acting eccentric or impatient today—perhaps it’s you. There is a strong urge to break free from outdated habits, relationships, or attitudes. This can be a productive moment to initiate long-overdue changes, provided they come from clarity rather than impulse.

Mercury trine Jupiter at 15 degrees Pisces/Cancer. Do people read real book anymore? Try it today, it could be fun. This is a wonderful day to expand your mind through reading, study, or meaningful conversation. You may find yourself drawn to big ideas, spiritual insights, or philosophical reflection, with an openness that makes learning especially rewarding.

Feb 17 – Total Solar Eclipse at 29 Aquarius. Because it occurs at the final degree of Aquarius, this eclipse carries a “last-chapter” quality—a powerful prompt to release outdated allegiances, rigid thinking, or detached ways of living that no longer reflect who you are becoming.

This eclipse closely aligns with the descendant of Donald Trump, a point traditionally associated with alliances and open adversaries. The descendant also marks the beginning of the seventh house, historically linked to both partnerships and open enemies. The eclipse also falls on the United States Moon, symbolically connected to the emotional climate of the people, suggesting heightened public sensitivity. In addition, it aligns with the midheaven of Benjamin Netanyahu, a point associated with reputation, positions of power and leadership. This eclipse may signal significant developments unfolding in these area between now and late July.

The eclipse forms a square to Uranus, intensifying themes of disruption, awakening, and sudden shifts. This aspect suggests abrupt changes related to finances, resources, technology, land, and personal security, encouraging liberation from entrenched patterns.

Feb 18 – Sun enters Pisces, where it remains until March 20. The Sun in Pisces heightens sensitivity and spiritual awareness, inspiring compassion, imagination, and a desire to transcend everyday limitations. This period encourages empathy and a willingness to make meaningful sacrifices for others.

Feb 20 – Saturn conjunct Neptune at 0 Aries. This conjunction begins a new 36-year cycle. It signals a chapter defined by courage, initiative, and a renewed connection to personal strength. Saturn represents structure and boundaries, while Neptune dissolves them, bringing themes of reality versus illusion into sharp focus. Their union can point to instability or disillusionment that ultimately leads to clearer vision. The last Saturn–Neptune conjunction in 1989 coincided with the fall of the Berlin Wall, a powerful symbol of dissolution and restructuring.

With Neptune and Saturn in a fire sign while forming supportive aspects to Pluto in an air sign, and Uranus entering air sign Gemini later this year, we are entering a new era dominated by air and fire signs. These signs move fast and create new pathways. These are historic and revolutionary times. This pile up of the outer planets in air and fire is difficult to interpret since we haven’t seen this configuration for thousands of years.

Feb 22 – Venus trine Jupiter at 15 Pisces/Cancer. This gentle water-sign harmony softens the intensity of the month, encouraging warmth, generosity, and emotional openness. You may feel more affectionate, optimistic, and inclined to nurturing close relationships.

Feb 26 – Mercury turns retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces, remaining retrograde until March 20, when it turns direct at 8 degrees Pisces. During this period, thinking becomes more reflective and intuitive, encouraging inner listening rather than outward action. Dreams and insights may be especially meaningful. While this retrograde can deepen empathy and imagination, it’s wise to postpone major decisions when possible, as clarity may be elusive.

Feb 27 – Mars square Uranus at 27 Aquarius/Taurus. This aspect can heighten irritability and impatience, making reactions more impulsive. Nervous tension may build over the coming weeks, especially for those with personal planets between 25 and 29 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio. Grounding practices and meditation can help maintain balance.

Feb 28 – Mercury conjunct Venus at 21 Pisces. Communication flows with grace and sensitivity today. Words of love, artistic expression, or heartfelt writing come naturally. Inspiration is strong, making this an excellent time for creative or romantic expression.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS FOR FEBRUARY 2026

JUPITER is in Cancer until June 20, 2026. Jupiter is retrograde all month, moving from 17 to 15 degrees of Cancer. Jupiter is expansive by nature, amplifying whatever it touches. In Cancer, its influence centers on home, family, and emotional foundations. You may feel a stronger pull toward domestic life or nurturing connections. At times, this can manifest as crowded schedules, increased family involvement, or unexpected developments within the household. While this transit often brings blessings and growth, it can also feel overwhelming if boundaries are unclear—especially for those with natal planets between 13 and 20 degrees of Cancer or Capricorn.

SATURN completes its passage through Pisces on February 13, when it enters the fiery, assertive sign of Aries. After crossing into Aries, Saturn moves from 0 to 1 degree. Saturn governs structure, discipline, and the material aspects of life. If your ascendant or personal planets fall between 0 degrees Pisces and 3 degrees Aries, you may encounter lessons that highlight responsibilities connected to the house Pisces occupies in your chart. Saturn in Aries encourages greater self-reliance, confidence, and focused action toward long-term goals, particularly in career and personal ambition.

URANUS is retrograde in Taurus until February 3, when it turns direct. It remains at 27 degrees Taurus throughout the month. Uranus symbolizes change, awakening, and liberation, often prompting sudden shifts that lead to greater authenticity. If Uranus forms strong aspects to your ascendant or personal planets—especially between 25 and 29 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio—you may feel an urge to break free from limiting patterns. This can be a powerful period to embrace change intentionally rather than resist it.

NEPTUNE travels through Aries all month, moving from 0 to 1 degree. Those with ascendants or personal planets between 28 degrees Pisces and 3 degrees Aries may experience heightened sensitivity, periods of uncertainty, or a search for clarity. Neptune can blur boundaries but also inspires creativity, spirituality, and compassion. Having spent many years in Pisces since 2011, Neptune’s move into Aries marks a shift from passive reflection to active imagination, encouraging individuals to envision a future shaped by courage and initiative.

PLUTO remains in Aquarius until 2043, moving direct this month from 3 to 4 degrees. Pluto’s influence is transformative, often bringing deep psychological material to the surface for examination and renewal. Those with ascendants or personal planets between 1 and 6 degrees Aquarius may feel this energy most strongly. Pluto’s process can be intense, yet it ultimately supports empowerment by revealing what must be released in order for growth and rebirth to occur.

Ride the waves,
