Astrological Forecast for August, 2026

When I do yearly forecasts for clients and their transits end at a certain date, I tell them, “When it’s over, it ain’t over.” I say that because a transit or progression brings us to a new level of consciousness, and when it ends, we don’t simply go back to being the person we were based on our birth chart. We are constantly growing and evolving as the outer planets move slowly around our chart and activate sensitive points in our birth chart.

For example, if you are having a difficult transit of Saturn to your Venus, Saturn can upgrade the potential of Venus in your life. Venus is hot and feisty, while Saturn is cold and restrained, so Saturn lowers the temperature of Venus. Venus also rules money. She can be self-indulgent and spend too freely, while Saturn is the old miser sitting in the dark counting his money. Saturn can bring greater organization, responsibility, and commitment to relationships and finances. This transit can change the way you experience Venus, and that change stays with you for the rest of your life.

So, if you were born a Leo, the question is: What grade of Leo are you now? Are you a first-grade Leo or a graduate-degree Leo? We grow and evolve throughout our lives, and much of that growth comes through our transits and progressions.

We are now experiencing a crescendo of positive transits affecting the entire world, a pattern that began building in July 2026. I believe the vibration of these aspects has already begun and will continue to lift humanity to a higher level.

Outer planets work slowly, revealing patterns that have been developing over many years. These aspects mark a peak point in a much larger story. They speak to transition, restructuring, and the gradual movement from one era into another. They may usher in a period of enormous social and civic change. This is a paradigm-shifting time. It may be one of the most benefic planetary configurations of the century, what some are calling a relaunch of civilization.

We will all begin to experience ourselves at a higher level. This may be especially obvious to you if you have planets between 2 and 6 degrees of any sign.

These are the planetary energies at play: Pluto in Aquarius sextiles Neptune and Saturn in Aries. Saturn and Neptune sextile Uranus in Gemini, which sextiles Jupiter in Leo. Along with Chiron in early Taurus, these powerful change agents are connected through a series of dynamic and harmonious aspects. Chiron squares the Jupiter-Pluto opposition, challenging us to recognize, develop, and manifest our gifts.

And now the Sun in Leo connects with this larger planetary pattern, bringing these energies more directly into our consciousness.

I’ve been watching the news like a hawk because, for the new age to come in, the old world will need to break down. As it does, we will begin to see the underside of institutions, structures, world leaders, and long-held beliefs. The old world is no longer sustainable

Aug 6 – Venus enters Libra until Sep 10. Venus rules Libra, so she is very strong in this sign. Libra rules relationships, harmony, cooperation, beauty, diplomacy, and fairness. What’s not to like? Well, there is one problem, and I’m talking to you with Libra, Sun, Moon or ascendant. The difficulty is that the desire to keep the peace can sometimes lead to avoiding necessary conflict or making too many concessions. At its best, Venus in Libra reminds us that relationships flourish when both harmony and fairness are present.

Sun Trine Saturn at 14 degrees of Leo/Aries. This is a good day to contribute to the poor or disabled in your neighborhood. You can be a tower of strength for someone.

Aug 9 – Mercury enters Leo until August 25. Mercury was in Cancer too long; you may have become morose and moody, regretting everything you had done in the past. Now with Mercury in Leo, you may feel a strong need to speak up, tell your story, or promote an idea. This period can bring in considerable creativity in writing and speaking, and this is an excellent period for presentations, teaching, storytelling, artistic projects, and communicating from the heart.

Aug 10 – Venus Trine Pluto at 5 degrees of Libra/Aquarius. This is a good day for pleasure, romantic relationships and sealing a pact with a good friend. This is also a good day for a party, keeping in mind my warning about Neptune coming up next.

Venus Opposite Neptune at 4 degrees of Libra/Aries. Be very careful here. Your judgement about love and money is not very practical. Don’t be persuaded to buy something that doesn’t fit your budget. Don’t go on a dating app today. The vampires are out there!

Aug 11 – Mars enters Cancer until Sep 27. Mars represents action, and Cancer is an emotional sign. Your actions during this period will depend on mood, instinct, and emotional reactions. You could get in a fight to protect your family or put energy into creating a secure home base.

Mercury opposite Pluto at 3 degrees of Leo/Aquarius. You are very outspoken and impulsive today. You can offend someone, especially your boss.

Mercury Trine Neptune at 4 degrees of Leo/Aries. There could be some important beneficial conversations and messages today. I would say it’s a good day for a job interview, but oops, Mercury is also opposite Pluto. Delay the interview, but you may get some good news on Facebook.

Venus Trine Uranus at 5 degrees of Libra/Gemini. A good day to visit a museum or a place with beautiful scenery. This aspect favors friendship, so take a trip with someone.

Aug 12 – Solar Eclipse at 20 Leo. This opens a new story line in our Leo and Aquarius houses. This eclipse is in a fire sign and can bring inspiration and creativity. I will send out a separate report on this eclipse.

Aug 15 – Mercury Conjunct Jupiter at 10 degrees of Leo. Some good news can come in today. It’s a great day for travel or for study.

Aug 17 – Mars Square Neptune at 4 degrees of Cancer/Aries. Don’t give information to someone who might use it against you. Neptune rules sneaky people. Watch out for scammers.

Mercury Trine Saturn at 14 Leo/Aries. Make realistic decisions today. Your judgement is good now.

Aug 21 – Venus Opposite Saturn at 14 degrees of Libra/Aries. No one is calling or texting you. You feel lonely. Nobody likes you. Maybe you are unlikeable?

Aug 22 – Sun Enters Virgo until Sep 22. This represents a period of grounded focus and detail-oriented planning. It’s time to go back to school. The vacation is over.

Aug 25 – Mercury Enters Virgo until Sep 10. This is one of the strongest placements for Mercury because Mercury rules the sign of Virgo. You can have a sharp and analytical mind during this placement. You communicate in a logical and practical way. Use this period to solve problems.

Aug 27 – Sun Conjunct Mercury at 3 degrees of Virgo. This is a good day to work hard. But Virgos tend to overdo it, so be careful of burnout.

Aug 28 – Lunar Eclipse at 4 Pisces. This eclipse brings up the Pisces themes of compassion and transcendence. It takes place in a water sign and signals a time to release deeply held emotional patterns. I will send out a separate email on this eclipse.

Mercury Square Uranus at 5 degrees of Virgo/Gemini. The news coming in today is about stuff you don’t agree with. You can become very sarcastic. Take it easy. Don’t worry about things that you can’t do anything about.

Sun Square Uranus at 5 degrees of Virgo/Gemini. You could have a tendency to make mistakes today. You may lose your emotional discipline and come at people like a banshee.

Aug 31 – Jupiter Trine Saturn at 13 degrees of Leo/Aries. This is a good aspect for stabilizing your home and your business. Seek stability with courage and assurance.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS FOR JULY 2026

JUPITER is in Leo until July 26, 2027. This transit is especially important for those with natal planets between 6 and 13 degrees of Leo or Aquarius. Jupiter in Leo expands confidence, creativity, generosity, and the desire to be seen for what is special and heartfelt in you. It favors performance, teaching, leadership, romance, children, art, play, and any situation where warmth and personal radiance matter. At its best, this is a big-hearted placement: proud but encouraging, dramatic but inspiring, loyal and life-giving. The caution is overdoing pride, needing applause, or turning every situation into a stage; the gift is learning to shine in a way that gives others permission to shine too.

SATURN is in the fiery sign of Aries. This month he moves retrograde from 14 to 13 degrees of Aries. Saturn governs structure, discipline, and the material realities of life. If your Ascendant or personal planets fall between 11 and 16 degrees of Aries, you may face lessons involving responsibility, courage, and self-reliance. Saturn in Aries asks you to act, but not foolishly. That is the annoying part.

URANUS is in Gemini until August 13, 2040. This month he stays at 5 degrees of Gemini. Uranus symbolizes change, awakening, and liberation. If Uranus forms strong aspects to your Ascendant or personal planets—especially between 3 and 7 degrees of Gemini or Sagittarius—you may feel a powerful urge to break free from stale patterns. Something in your thinking may shift suddenly. You may surprise yourself and possibly everyone else. This can be a powerful period to embrace change intentionally rather than resist it.

NEPTUNE travels through Aries all month and moves retrograde from 4 to 3 degrees. Those with Ascendants or personal planets between 1 and 6 degrees of Aries may experience heightened sensitivity, uncertainty, or a search for directions. Neptune can blur boundaries, but it can also inspire vision and compassion. After spending many years in Pisces, Neptune’s move into Aries marks a shift from passive dreaming to active imagination. The question is: What dream are you willing to fight for?

PLUTO remains in Aquarius until 2043/2044. This month he is moving retrograde from 4 to 3 degrees of Aquarius. Pluto’s influence is deep and transformative, often bringing psychological material to the surface so it can no longer be ignored. Those with Ascendants or personal planets between 1 and 6 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio may feel this energy most strongly. Pluto’s process can be intense, yet it ultimately supports empowerment by revealing what must be released.
