“If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it.”― Mark Twain
I’ve noticed that many wise, experienced astrologers are not attempting to pick the winner of the U.S. election because they feel it is too close to call and because of the confusing, combative, and polarizing aspects we have now. But, you know, ‘fools rush in,’ and that’s me! But I don’t have a good track record for picking the president. I picked Gore over Bush in 2000 because Gore had an excellent chart for prominence, and he did win the Nobel Prize that year. I did like Obama in 2012 and was correct at that time.
In 2016, I predicted Donald Trump's victory based on his astrological chart, which was quite strong at the time. His ascendant was aligned with Regulus, the star symbolizing kingship, which has since shifted into Virgo, representing servitude. Trump's natal chart includes Jupiter being stationary. Jupiter is saying this is my son he’s a touch bombastic, but I will protect him. But now, Jupiter is moving retrograde in the sign of his detriment, indicating a loss of power and diminishing luck. His chart also features mythological figures like Icarus and Phaeton—both of whom experienced dramatic falls, hinting at potential downfalls in his life. The Mars-Pluto opposition in his chart, located in the 12th house of karma and undoing, suggests troubling times ahead, particularly around the election period. When Mars goes into Leo on the 3rd of November, opposing Pluto with Mars is on his Ascendant does look good to me. This looks like an attack on him. He could still win the election but run into trouble afterward.
Pluto's transition from Capricorn to Aquarius marks a significant shift regarding the broader astrological climate. Since 2008, Pluto in Capricorn has reflected a yearning for traditional paternal figures and conventional values. With Pluto entering Aquarius on November 18th, a desire for progressive leadership will likely emerge, impacting the political landscape and perhaps diminishing Trump's resonance with the public. However, Trump’s values don’t fit the new energy. So, I don’t see him as president during Pluto in Aquarius.
Each Pluto transit through the zodiac signs brings out the darker aspects of the sign it inhabits. Notably, previous transits have coincided with significant societal issues like the high divorce rates during Pluto in Libra, the AIDS crisis during Pluto in Scorpio, and the banking crises on the day Pluto entered Capricorn. The upcoming transit in Aquarius could bring its challenges and transformations. Let’s look at the last time Pluto was in Aquarius during the French Revolution. People thought it would be a good liberal idea to get rid of the royalty and have, "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité," but they ended up with Napoleon.
Kamala Harris's astrological chart, for this time, is not as robust as Trump's during his prime. However, it still offers some advantages over his current chart, mainly the Aquarian energy coming in with people wanting new, younger rulers. We can feel the change months in advance when a giant planet enters a sign. Election Day looks better for Trump. But Election Day is astrologically tense, with Mars opposing Pluto, potentially indicating violent or transformative events and secrets coming to light. This aspect forms a cross with Harris’ Sun and Moon. This is a burden and a lot of stress. It doesn’t look good for her on Election Day. A cross such as this could crush someone. But Harris is tough with Mars ruling her moon sign of Aries; she’s a warrior and Harris is more aligned with the zeitgeist because Pluto is entering Aquarius.
I can see a possible win for Trump on Election Day, but Kamala becoming president. I can’t see Trump in 2025 and beyond. How could that happen? I don’t know. Maybe Trump wins the election, but it is contested, and Kamala will be named president. I don’t see how this would work. The Supreme Court? I leave you as confused as I am.

Dates to Watch:
Note to my Astrology Clients. Use your Planetary Placement and Ascendant sheet to find if you have a personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) or the ascendant within 2 degrees of the degree of the transits listed below. If so, the transit will have a significant impact on you.
Nov 1 – New Moon at 9 Scorpio. Scorpio is an intense, passionate, powerful, secretive, and transformative sign. This New Moon will influence the next two weeks. You will see changes happening in your natal house, which contains Scorpio. This new moon features Mars opposite Pluto, Mercury opposite Uranus, and Venus opposite Jupiter. We will all experience a lot of tension. This New Moon is trine Saturn, so there is an opportunity for positive change.
In Harris’ birth chart, Jupiter is in the 12th now, unfavorable for winning an election.
In Trump’s chart, this New Moon is in the 3rd of communication, square to his natal Pluto (a struggle), and trine to natal Saturn in the 7th, popular with the public. The Mars opposite Pluto aspect shows that influential people are behind him, but this opposition impacts his Venus. A woman could injure him. This New Moon shows Jupiter in his 10th house of fame. But Uranus square Mars is showing an uphill battle.
Mercury trines Neptune at Scorpio/Pisces. There can be a longing for intensity, and you may experience profound feelings. It is an excellent time to explore the hidden dimensions and honor the darkness. On this day, take a moment to pause and notice what sensations arise from within you.
Nov 2—Mercury enters Sagittarius. Your thinking is optimistic now; you hope for better things in the future. The US has Sagittarius on the ascendant. There will be behind-the-scenes outrage and battles no matter who wins the election.
Mercury trine Mars at 19 Scorpio/Cancer. You can get a tough job done now. Any competitive challenge is stimulating.
Nov 3 –Daylight Savings time ends at 2 AM.
Mars is opposite Pluto at 29 degrees of Cancer, and Capricorn is one of the toughest alignments in astrology. This setup often brings out behaviors driven by a desire for control and can lead to compulsive actions. We could see a significant event today. People might lose perspective, make hasty decisions, or act aggressively to push their agendas, which can cause considerable problems.
Despite these challenges, there's also a powerful opportunity to use these intense energies for good. It's a prime time for making peace in our personal lives and larger contexts. If we can harness these strong impulses positively, you can achieve great things and feel good about them.
However, it's important to remember that Mars will retrograde in December, and this opposition with Pluto will happen again twice by spring 2025. Next time, it will occur between Leo and Aquarius, not Cancer and Capricorn. This means we should stay alert and ready to handle these energies, as they will continue to influence events for a while.
Venus opposite Jupiter at 20 degrees of Sagittarius/Gemini. Too much h of a good thing.Overindulgence. Watch your spending.
Mars enters Leo and then turns retrograde on Dec 6 at 6 degrees of Leo. It then backs into Cancer on January 6, 2025. Mars turns direct at 17 Cancer on February 23, 2025, and returns to Leo on April 18, 2025.
Nov 4 – Sun Trine Saturn at 12 Scorpio/Pisces. Settle matters of a practical nature to advance your career. Others will notice your reliable and dynamic traits.
Nov 5 – Election Day in the U.S. The Sun Is in Scorpio, and the Moon is in Capricorn, which rules the government. Mars is in Leo and a trine to Mercury. Everyone is outspoken today. The US chart shows conflict, frustration, and irritation. I don’t think the election results will be announced today because the results may be too close to call. Trump has Jupiter, the planet of luck and the north node, his destiny in the 10th house of career today, and Venus on his moon. Mars is in Leo, which is his rising sign. I think he will win, but it will close. Harris has Pluto squaring her Sun and Moon. In the 8th, Pluto shows she has powerful connections and resources behind the scenes. Her Jupiter and Uranus is in the 12th, she feels like a victim, not a favorable placement.
Nov 9 – Venus Square Neptune at 27 degrees of Sagittarius/Pisces. We are dreaming big dreams right now. Nov 11 – Venus enters Capricorn until Dec 7. This is about getting grounded in your love life. Also, see your financial advisor and ensure your investments are secure and productive. This shows a lot of confusion in the US as Venus is opposite the US Venus and Jupiter in the 7th house.
Nov 11 – Venus enters Capricorn until Dec 7 – It’s time to look at everything more soberly. Mercury, squaring Saturn on the 12th, indicates a similar effect. After the great excitement of the last few days, we can now assess the situation more realistically and draw the correct conclusions.
Nov 12 – Mercury Square Saturn at 12 Degrees of Sagittarius/Pisces. This can create worry and depression. You could become narrow-minded and shy. Instead, put all of your energy into hard work. This aspect enforces the impact of Venus in Capricorn. After the great excitement of the last few days, we can now assess the situation more realistically and draw the correct conclusions.
Nov 15 – Saturn turns direct at 14 Pisces. Your career plans get a fresh start now. In the US chart, Saturn is turning direct in the 3rd house. It could mean legal battles, and Mercury is in the 1st, which could indicate lawsuits. I hope we are not still dealing with the election results.
Full Moon at 24 Taurus conjunct Uranus. Because of all of the aspects in the next few days, this is like a starting signal for accelerated development. This is an excellent time for a sudden change of direction. This is Full Moon, which is on Trump’s career MC. Some unaccepted changes could happen to him. Also, this Full Moon is square Trump’s Mars, another possibility of an attack from hidden enemies, whether verbal or physical. He needs to watch his health. This Full Moon shows Jupiter in Harris’s 12th house, in a square to transiting Pluto, creating tension. She is going through a tough time, a life-and-death struggle for power.
Nov 16 – Sun Opposite Uranus at 25 degrees of Taurus. This can be exciting but unstable. Taurus likes predictability, and Uranus likes change. In the US, the people are protesting.
Nov 18 - Mercury opposite Jupiter at 18 Sagittarius/Gemini. Optimistic expectations could override your good sense. Don’t expect too much today, especially in business and legal matters.
Sun Trine Neptune at 27 Scorpio/Pisces. You feel kind of mellow and dreamy today. Rely on your spiritual or mystical values and be unselfish and forgiving. Neptune wants you to let go of the ego. It is also a good aspect of creating art.
Nov 19 – Pluto enters Aquarius until 2043. This is a time to embrace the new. The events in the days around the Full Moon could give us a taste of what this shift is all about. Pluto moving into Aquarius for the next 20 years favors Harris because the collective wants to be inclusive and wants a young black woman president with progressive views. See my blog post here about Pluto in Aquarius and AI.
Pluto moves into Harris's 9th house of politics and international relations. In Trump's chart, Pluto moves into the 5th. He may be doing something new, maybe for entertainment.
Nov 21 – Sun enters Sagittarius until Dec 21. The Sagittarius energy will help us make sense of the events of the last few weeks and remember the bigger picture. Mercury turns retrograde on November 26 and will remain so until December 15.
Nov 25 – Mercury Retrograde at 22 Sagittarius until he moves direct at 6 Sagittarius Dec 15. He will remain in Sagittarius until January 8, 2025. You may have to redo some things or change your thinking in the areas ruled by your natal Sagittarius house.
Nov 27 – Sun Trine Mars at 5 Sagittarius/Leo. You feel dynamic, confident, and energetic. Assume leadership today.
Nov 28 – Thanksgiving Day. My favorite holiday. I have the Moon in Taurus, and nothing satisfies me like heavy, rich, delicious food., especially mashed potatoes. Who else has a Taurus Moon out there? Cancer Moon also likes food, but the family needs to be around the table to satisfy it. Not Taurus, but the fewer people there are, the better.
OUTER PLANET TRANSITS FOR AUGUST 2024:
JUPITER is moving retrograde and will go from 20 degrees of Gemini to 17 degrees of Gemini this month. Jupiter is the big, fat, happy guy who is expansive in everything. In Gemini, he wants to speak, learn, teach, and write. Look to the house in your birth chart that contains Gemini. For the next year, Jupiter will bring good luck and opportunities in the areas ruled by the house containing Gemini.
SATURN is in Pisces until May 26, 2025. Saturn is retrograde but turns direct on the 15th of this month. This month, Saturn strays at 12 degrees of Pisces. If you have felt bogged down by circumstances that seem out of your control, especially in your career area, You will start to move ahead after the 15th. Saturn rules your material world and especially your career. You can manifest those dreams if you dream of creating something beautiful in art or writing. You may be in store, especially if you have the ascendant or any personal planets from 10 to 14 degrees of Pisces or Virgo.
URANUS is in Taurus until April 2026. This Uranus is retrograde and moves from 25 to 24 degrees of Taurus. This is the time to break loose and radically change your life. I believe in ‘cooperating with the inevitable.’ If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets (22 to 26) degrees of Taurus or Scorpio), go on an extended vacation, preferably to somewhere you have never been. Or make some significant changes in your life. Taurus represents the earth. Expect news about farming, food, earthquakes, volcanos, tornadoes, or other significant weather changes while Uranus is in Taurus.
NEPTUNE is in Pisces until 2026. Neptune is retrograde and will stay at 27 degrees of Pisces all month. If you have the ascendant or personal planets anywhere from 25 to 29 degrees of Pisces or Virgo, you may lack focus during this time and want to daydream. Beware of a betrayal, a disappointment, and a sense of drifting. Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, and creative expression, increased dreams, and spiritual insights. Watch for inspired films to come out when Neptune is in Pisces.
PLUTO is at 29 degrees of Capricorn until the 19th. Then, we have a world-changing event: Pluto moves into Aquarius. It may take us a few months to get used to this energy. But if you have any planets or the ascendant in Aquarius, be ready for a wild ride over the next 20 years. Pluto wants to eliminate what is not long useful, he wants to transform everting and everyone around him. So ask Pluto, “What needs to die to be reborn.”
Have a great month, and try not to be drawn into the rhetoric and battles this month. Remain objective; it’s not the end of the world if your candidate doesn’t win. Also, let’s try not to hate the person who becomes president.
