Three eclipses will be occurring in Gemini, Cancer, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Look for planets and houses with these signs. The theme that these planets and houses represent will become active during this period.
The first eclipse on June 5 is a Lunar Eclipse taking place in the sign of Sagittarius and Gemini. The second Eclipse is a Solar Eclipse on June 21 and takes place in Cancer. The third eclipse is a Lunar Eclipse on July 4 in Cancer and Capricorn. The ancients believed that during an eclipse,” the mighty will fall". They bring endings and beginnings-- births and deaths. The energy from an eclipse can last up to six months and also become active a month before the actual eclipse.
The traditional belief is that rulers are born or die at the time of an eclipse. President Trump* was born on a Lunar Eclipse in 1946, Prince William was born on a Solar Eclipse in 1982 and Princess Diana died on a Solar Eclipse in 1997. People born on an eclipse have a light that shines out to others and they tend to be popular or important people.
Lunar Eclipse on June 5, 2020, at 15 Sagittarius/Gemini
This eclipse will be seen in Asia, Australia, Europe, and Africa.
On a Lunar Eclipse, something will end and on a Solar Eclipse, something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that stand in the way of self-realization.
This eclipse affects two signs: Sagittarius and Gemini. This eclipse rules the mind, foreign travel, belief, and Issues of freedom, truth, and justice. It opposes Venus and squares Mars and Neptune. The square of Mars can bring angry confrontations in our personal life and the outer world, Neptune can bring disclosures and Venus can bring insight into how we relate to others.
A Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of our patterns, and our unconscious motivations. This period of time can bring up old memories and feelings. Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. The Sun opposite the Moon lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness. Repressed energies emerge for confrontation and resolution. Pay attention to your dreams. Lunar Eclipses are more emotional than Solar Eclipses. Lunar Eclipses shine a light on things we weren’t aware of. Many people change their belief system.
Solar Eclipse on June 21 at 0 Cancer.
This eclipse will be seen in parts of Africa including the Central African Republic, Congo, and Ethiopia, Southern Pakistan and northern India, and China.
Solar Eclipses tend to relate to sudden events that disrupt our day to day functioning; they are the crisis that seems to come out of nowhere and that suddenly demands all of our conscious attention and focus. They tend to stir things up on a physical and conscious level much more than Lunar Eclipses.
A Solar Eclipse is a powerful new moon so make plans for the future. Set your intentions during this eclipse around Cancer themes – home, family, and security. The 6 months following this eclipse is an ideal time to make a fresh start in all of these Cancer subjects. This solar eclipse is right on the Summer Solstice adding power to this eclipse.
Lunar Eclipse on July 4 at 13 Cancer.
North and South America get the best view of the July 4 lunar eclipse. People in the westernmost parts of Africa and Europe will also view the event. New York City will see a partial Lunar Eclipse.
You may have noticed that July 4 is the birthday of the United States. So the eclipse is right on our Sun of identity. This eclipse conjuncts Mercury who is now turning retrograde. The Sun in a nation's chart represents the President or Ruler. Will important information come out about our President or about the founding of America? This eclipse may bring in information concerning the Pluto return we are experiencing now. Pluto has a cycle of 248 years. So Pluto has come back to where it was when the US was born. The Pluto of the US was at 27 Capricorn. Pluto is now at 24 degrees of Capricorn. The effect of a transit to the natal planet becomes very strong when it is within 5 degrees of exact. Pluto rules the shadow. America was born with a big shadow which includes the genocide of the Native Americans and the slavery of Africans. Pluto also rules transformational healing. This shadow material needs to come to light to be healed. Is this the time? The Pluto return will be in effect until 2025.

How will these eclipses affect you?
Note to my Astrology Clients. Use your Planetary Placement and Ascendant Sheet to find if the following eclipses will have a major impact on you.
Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on. But that can be a good thing. Some view eclipses as release and renewal points. If your birthday falls on or is close to the dates of an eclipse your life will change dramatically in the months and years ahead.
Eclipses repeat every 19 years. We had solar and lunar eclipses at the same points In June and July of 2001. Look back to what happened then. This will continue a theme that was playing out at that time. But remember, eclipses get triggered after they occur so events can come in after the eclipse especially within 6 months after the event.
An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your natal chart and what planets it conjuncts or opposes. The areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more energy, and time from you, at least until the next eclipse in November and December of 2020. Eclipses open doors and invite you to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of your life that need your attention.
Remember that planetary energies are archetypal and archetypes can be expressed in many different ways. It’s really based on your consciousness and how you decide to work with these energies.
