On July 10, at 7:30 PM, I will be giving a talk via Zoom for the Jung Society of Washington on Jung and Astrology: How the Ancient Symbolism of Astrology Helped Inform C. G. Jung’s Most Important Ideas. You can read more details and sign up here. https://www.jung.org/event-3842471
June will be a confusing but busy month.
Neptune Lord of the Seas is putting his clammy, misty, foggy stamp on this month because he is prominent in the following aspects: Venus is within 5 degrees of a square to Neptune during the first of the month while Mars is moving into a conjunct with Neptune during the first 3 weeks of this month, the Lunar Eclipse on the 5th squares Neptune and the Sun squares Neptune during the second week. And finally, Neptune turns retrograde during the last week of June. Because the Sun is in Gemini, you may want to think clearly, but it won’t be easy with Neptune’s damp underwear hanging around the house. Neptune can bring confusion, deception, and lack of clarity. Neptune tends to dissolve our ego, energy, and attachments. Positive Neptune energy includes yoga, dance, tai chi, and spirituality. This is a good month to start a meditation practice. Try not to be too attached to any particular narrative, try and stay calm and be the observer. There will be a lot of disclosure throughout this year. Neptune loves to unveil things. He rules viruses so watch for him to unveil some of the false information and manipulation by the mainstream media regarding covid19.
This month starts a series of three eclipses; one on June 5, the second one on June 21, and the third will be in July on the 4th. I will be sending out a separate report covering all three eclipses.
We already have four planets in retrograde at the start of the month: Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus. During this month we add two more: Mercury and Neptune. With 6 planets retrograde this month, we may be able to step back and watch the circus instead of jumping on the political merry-go-round.
Dates to Watch:
Note to my Astrology Clients. Use your Planetary Placement and Ascendant Sheet to find if the following transits will have a major impact on you.
Jun 2 – Venus square Mars at 14 Gemini/Pisces. The male and female planets are in conflict so this is not favorable for relationships with the opposite sex. If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant at 12 to 16 Gemini or Pisces, your romantic partner may be too aggressive today. Also, this aspect could be very detrimental to your finances. You may spend more than you should and blow your budget.
Jun 3 - Sun conjunct Venus at 13 Gemini. You feel sociable today and want to make new friends. This is a good time to enjoy art and nature. Relax. Contact old friends. A very good day if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 11 to 15 Gemini or Sagittarius.
Jun 5 – Lunar Eclipse at 15 Sagittarius/Gemini. This is a powerful Lunar Eclipse as it squares, Venus, Mars and Neptune. Watch out for forcing your personal opinions on others. There may be anger, deception and greed in the world at large --but what else is new? Sagittarius can be arrogant about their ideas; Gemini is asking us to be more objective.
Jun 6 – Sun square Mars at 16 Gemini/Pisces. This is a potentially explosive square because it is getting energy from the Lunar Eclipse. If you can channel this energy, this could be a very productive day for you. But you need to be careful not to lose your temper. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 14 to 18 Gemini or Pisces, focus on your work and don’t get into any fisticuffs.
Jun 11 – Sun Square Neptune at 20 Gemini/Pisces. You can get really confused today. Also, you could be subject to some deception. Neptune loves conspiracy theories. You have low energy today because Neptune wants you to daydream. We need to honor the gods so sleep late and all day if you want. You could be totally spaced out if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 18 to 22 Gemini/Pisces.
Jun 13 – Mars Conjunct Neptune at 20 Pisces. You continue to be in la la land today. Just relax into this energy. You just don’t have the energy to push for anything. This is a good day to meditate if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 18 to 22 Pisces or Virgo.
Jun 18 – Mercury turns retrograde at 14 Cancer and stays retrograde until July 12 when he turns direct at 5 Cancer. Your conversations can become overly emotional. Tempers are raw. There could be flare-ups in your home with family members. It is not a good time to buy new electronics or to travel. Communications can be totally misunderstood. Don’t react emotionally to what you see on the media. The positive side of Mercury Retrograde is that your mind slows down so that you can review your actions or your communications over the last several months. A good time to edit that wordy, overblown novel that you wrote.
Jun 20 – Sun enters Cancer until July 22. Summer officially begins. I hope we are no longer in lockdown and can go to the beach and enjoy the summer.
Jun 21 – New Moon Solar Eclipse at 0 Cancer. This is a good time to begin new projects. If you have been stuck in a job or relationships, this is a good time to move on. New Moons are an opportunity to let go. Because this Solar Eclipse is in Cancer, there is an opportunity here for new insights into your emotional patterns.
Jun 23 – Neptune turns retrograde at 23 degrees of Pisces and stays retrograde until Nov 28. It’s that pesky Neptune again. The most important part of this retrograde is today, when he stops in the sky to get ready to turn retrograde. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 21 to 25 degrees of Pisces, you could be inspired to explore the hidden dimensions of reality. How about building a fairy garden?
Jun 25 – Venus turns direct at 5 degrees of Gemini. Our relationships and money affairs could start to move forward again. In Gemini, we can look at our involvement in these two areas in a rational manner.
Jun 27 – Mars enters Aries until January 6, 2021. Mars is in Aries a long time because he turns retrograde on September 9th until Nov 13. Mars is very comfortable here because Aries is his home sign. While Mars is in Aries, he will square Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn from August to December of this year. This is a trigger to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction we had in January. This could bring back all of the lockdowns, I hope not. What is more likely is that Mars, the Warrior, can cause widespread protests. Mars is pure aggressive, ego energy. We can use this in a positive way by flexing our muscles to build a better personal and global world.
Jun 30 – Jupiter Conjunct Pluto at 24 Capricorn. This is the second in a series of three conjunctions of Jupiter and Pluto. The first was on April 4 and the last one will be on Nov 12. It’s not bad enough that Mars is exciting Jupiter and Pluto, but now they are conjunct. Jupiter can expand the Pluto which is corruption, abuse of power, and dirty tricks that are hidden from view. Jupiter is honesty and integrity, Pluto is manipulative and controlling. This is a year where we are trying to figure out who is really telling the truth. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 22 to 26 of Capricorn or Cancer you have been in the barrel for quite some time now. This aspect could exaggerate your fears for the future.
Sun Conjunct Mercury at 10 Cancer. Good aspect for strong common sense. I would tell you to make important decisions today, but Mercury is retrograde. Maybe today you can think through some misunderstandings that have been happening.
OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:
JUPITER is now in Capricorn until December 20, 2020. This month Jupiter is moving retrograde and will travel from 26 to 24 degrees of Capricorn. Jupiter is about growth and expansion especially in travel and education and also in the area of your life ruled by the house in your natal chart that contains Capricorn. Jupiter isn’t very happy in Capricorn because for the following year he has to get down to business; become responsible, and build a career. Don’t forget about his excessive qualities. In Capricorn, he could work too hard, and be too focused on the material and forget to smell the roses
SATURN is now in Aquarius and is moving retrograde. This month he moves from 1 degree to 0 degrees of Aquarius. On July 1 he will back up into Capricorn again. Then he will reenter Aquarius on Dec 17 and stay in Aquarius until March 2023. In Aquarius, he wants to work with a network or with the community. If you have Saturn in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or to personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules.
URANUS is in Taurus until Apr 2026. This month he moves from 8 to 9 degrees of Taurus. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 6 to 11 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio, you will feel a need for freedom and for making some radical changes in your life. I believe in ‘cooperating with the inevitable’. If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, go on a long vacation, move or make some major changes in your life.
NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026. This month Neptune moves goes retrograde on the 23 of June and will stay at 20 degrees of Pisces all month. A lack of focus, a sense of drifting or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the ascendant, Sun or Personal Planets at 18 to 22 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams, and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out during the time Neptune is in Pisces.
PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023. This month, Pluto is moving retrograde and will stay at 24 degrees of Capricorn. Profound changes will be felt especially by those with the ascendant or personal planets at 22 to 26 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer. What needs to die in order to be reborn?
Stay safe and well.
