Eclipses On July 12, July 27 and August 11, 2018
Note to my Astrology Clients. Use your Planetary Placement and Ascendant Sheet to find if the following eclipses will have a major impact on you.
The eclipses in July and August are taking place in the signs of Cancer (the family), Leo (the leaders) and Aquarius (the outsiders and revolutionaries).
The ancients believed that during an eclipse,” the mighty will fall". They believed that rulers are born or die at the time of eclipses. President Trump was born on a Lunar Eclipse in 1946, Prince William was born on a Solar Eclipse in 1982 and Princess Diana died on a Solar Eclipse in 1997. The energy from an eclipse can last up to six months and also become active up to a month before the actual eclipse.
They bring endings and beginnings, births and deaths.
Partial Solar Eclipse on July 12 at 20 Cancer
This eclipse will be visible in Southern Australia only.
Solar Eclipses tend to relate to sudden events that disrupt our day to day functioning; they are the crisis that seems to come out of nowhere and that suddenly demand all of our conscious attention and focus. They tend to stir things up on a physical and conscious level much more than Lunar Eclipses
This eclipse is in an opposition to Pluto making this a very intense eclipse and may bring up Plutonian themes such as the underworld, psychological trauma, and rebirth.
The effect of this eclipse started on June 13 and as I write this there is a Plutonian theme being played out before us as we watch the Thailand Soccer team attempting to be rescued from a cave. This reminds me of the other similar Plutonian event I wrote about in 2010 – the rescue of the Chilean miners. Hope this also has a positive outcome.
This eclipse impacts President Trump’s Saturn in the 11th house. He could get blocked and delayed by groups he works with (congress?)
Total Lunar Eclipse on July 27 at 4 Aquarius/Leo.
A Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of our patterns, and our unconscious motivations. They can bring up old memories and feelings. On a Lunar Eclipse something will end and on a Solar Eclipse, something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that stand in the way of self-realization.
Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. The Sun opposite the Moon lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness. Repressed energies emerge for confrontation and resolution. Pay attention to your dreams. Lunar Eclipses are more emotional than Solar Eclipses.
This eclipse on July 27 affects two signs – Aquarius and Leo. Aquarius wants to belong to groups that are working to save the world. Leo wants to work on their close personal relationships. This eclipse is about connecting to a greater purpose than self. This brings in activist energy. The inter-relationship between these two signs mirrors the inter-relationship each of us has with our urge to be accepted into the larger society and contribute to that collective unit via our personally generated creative expression. In the US chart, it affects the two money houses, 2 and 8. Uranus is in the financial sign of Taurus. We could see some shakeup around US banks.
This eclipse is conjunct Mars and Square Uranus. This can be upsetting. We can butt heads with others as quick tempers are easily aroused.
Also, those of you born in the years from 1940 to1945 will have this lunar eclipse on your Pluto. This could bring up past memories and traumas to be healed. This might be a good time to visit your local hypnotherapist.
Remember that planetary energies are archetypes and archetypes can be expressed in many different ways. It’s really based on your consciousness and how you decide to work with these energies.
Partial Solar Eclipse on August 11, 2018 at 18 Leo.
This eclipse will be seen in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
This aspect is conjunct Mercury and Square Jupiter. The only danger with the square is excess. You can over-react, overreach and promise more than you can deliver. This is about hyperbole, especially in legal matters. (Jupiter rules the Supreme Court). We may hear some exaggerated claims from both sides on Supreme Court issues.
I’ve heard from an astrologer who says that President Trump doesn’t use the Birth Chart we have all been using showing a birth time of 10:54 AM EDT which was taken from his Birth Certificate. He uses a time of 9:51 AM.
I hate it when there is a dispute in a U.S. President’s chart. He is the leader of the country and we can do a lot of accurate forecasting for the US if we have the right time. I have redone his birth chart for 9:51 AM and he has 18 Leo rising. That means that this eclipse will be right on his ascendant. That is a big deal. Anytime an eclipse hits an angle (Ascendant, Midheaven, IC or Descent) it creates a major impact. The ascendant rules the immediate surrounds of a person including his body. An eclipse here can indicate health issues, a move or change in the people surround you. So with this eclipse, we may be able to see if the 9:51 AM birth time is correct.
How will these eclipses affect you?
Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on. But that can be a good thing. Some view eclipses as release and renewal points. If your birthday falls on or is close to the dates of an eclipse your life will change dramatically in the months and years ahead. An eclipse is more powerful if the shadow falls where you are living or on your birthplace.
Eclipses repeat every 19 years. We had solar and lunar eclipses at the same points In July and August of 1999. Look back at what happened then. This will continue a theme that was playing out at that time.
An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your natal chart and what planets it conjuncts or opposes. The areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more attention, thought, energy, and time from you, at least until the next eclipse. Eclipses open doors and invite you to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of your lives that need our attention.
The Partial Solar Eclipse of July 13 at 20 Cancer will affect you if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and/or Mars) or the ascendant at 17 to 23 degrees of Cancer and/or Capricorn. Also look at your natal chart for the house that holds 17 to 23 degrees of Cancer.
The Total Lunar Eclipse of July 27 at 4 Aquarius/Leo happens on a full moon as all Lunar Eclipses and two houses in your natal chart will be affected. This eclipse will impact you if one of your personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant is at 1 to 7 degrees of Aquarius or Leo. It will mean the end of one set of circumstances and the beginning of another. Let go! Look at your natal chart for the houses that contains 1 to 7 degrees of Leo and Aquarius. This eclipse will stir up events related to those houses.
The Partial Solar Eclipse on August 11 at 18 Leo will affect you if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and/or Mars) or the ascendant at 15 to 21 degrees of Leo or Aquarius. Also look at your natal chart for the house that holds 15 to 21 degrees of Leo.
