November 2017 Forecast

Neptune stations direct on Nov 22 at 11 degrees of Pisces. This is a good time to find out how you handle Neptunian energy.  Mainly we need to honor the gods ruled by Neptune; Orpheus and Dionysus.   Remember, if you ignore the gods, they take revenge.  They paid homage to the gods in ancient Greece by making sacrifices.  If you don’t have a spare goat around to sacrifice; pay homage through taking part in activities that honor Dionysus and Orpheus.  They want you to dance, sing, paint and celebrate life.  Think of Orpheus playing his harp, think of Dionysus kissing all the women and dancing.  Neptune wants you to experience ecstatic states. The way Neptune takes revenge is through alcohol and drugs. Remember Dionysus’ Roman name is Bacchus.  Let’s celebrate Neptune starting Nov 15 through Nov 29.  The 23^rd  is Thanksgiving in the US, let’s dance around the turkey.

Jupiter is moving deeper into Scorpio.  He entered Scorpio on Oct 10. Jupiter magnifies the sign it travels through.  In Scorpio he will magnify sexual secrets.  We are already seeing this happening in the news.  We have another year of this.  Scorpio is all about feminine power and in the news already we see more and more women revealing their experiences with harassment which will bring out more sexual secrets.

For all of you Scorpios out there, Jupiter brings faith and optimism.  Sometimes you can get really dark and look at the world through grey colored glasses.  That’s because you are really good at seeing what is wrong with a person or situation or our culture in general.  Jupiter may help you lighten up and bring some good luck and abundance into your life. Jupiter is excessive and Scorpios have the strongest desire nature of the entire zodiac so Jupiter here could cause you to eat too much, spend too much money and overdo the other Scorpio desire which I am too shy to mention.

Dates to Watch:

Nov 3 – Sun Trine Neptune.  This aspect stimulates our idealism.  This is a good aspect for love and romance.

Nov 4 – Venus Opposite Uranus at 26 Libra/Aries.  Venus is relationships, Uranus is separation.  If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant at 24 to 28 degrees of Libra or Aries, maybe its time to take separate vacations.

          Full Moon at 11 Taurus.  A full Moon illuminates the potential of the New Moon.  What did you start back on or around Oct 18.  That area could bear fruit now. The Full Moon is In Taurus which rules financial and material matters.

Nov 5 – Mercury enters Sagittarius.  He goes retrograde next month on the 2^nd until the 22^nd, finally entering Capricorn on Jan 11, 2018. Mercury has wings on his feet and he loves to flit around – backwards and forwards.  In Sagittarius he is curious about philosophy, different belief systems and he likes to chat about his latest trip abroad.

Nov 7 – Venus enters Scorpio until Dec 1. Now you want deep, intense relationships.

Nov 11 – Saturn Trine Uranus. All those progressive ideas that you have can be grounded in reality today.  You make positive plans for the future.

Nov 13 – Venus conjunct Jupiter at 7 Scorpio.  This is the best aspect this month.  You are really happy today and very popular; don’t let it go to your head.

          Mercury Square Neptune at 11 Sagittarius/Pisces.  Not a good time to plan an airplane trip.  You seem a little confused-- No, it’s not dementia.  It’s just Neptune sending the fog your way.  Especially screwed up if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 9 to 13 degrees of  Sagittarius or Pisces.

Nov 16 – Venus Trine Neptune. Why don’t you decorate your home or take out your paints and brushes and do some art work.

Nov 18 – New Moon at 26 Scorpio.  The New Moon starts a new monthly cycle. In Scorpio, you may start to investigate something, do some research or sit around and read detective novels.

Nov 19 – Mars Square Pluto at 18 Libra/Capricorn.  This is the most difficult aspect of the month.  Mars wants to be active and up and doing, Pluto is blocking you and you come to a complete stop.  Pluto is dragging Mars down to the underworld.  Mars and all the Aries Sun and Aries rising people are not happy underground.  The two weeks surrounding this date will be extra hard for you if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 16 to 20 degrees of Libra Capricorn.  I would love to be one of those astrologers that inspire you with ways around difficult aspects, but I’m a Saturn type so I have no idea how to make this pleasant.

Nov 21 – Sun enters Sagittarius until Dec 21.  This is a playful time when we want to watch sports on TV or better yet get out in nature and hike.

Nov 22 – Neptune Stations Direct at 11 degrees of Pisces. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 9 to 13 degrees of Virgo, you may want to do something creative.  Or you could just run around in circles totally confused or go on a bender.  I just run away to a B & B and sulk-- that works.

Nov 25 – Mercury Trine Uranus. You are very vivacious today.  You could do some really original writing.

Nov 28 – Mercury Conjunct Saturn at 28 Sagittarius.  If you want to honor Saturn, then work, work really hard, he loves that.  Not physical work, Mercury hates physical work, do mental work.  Write that book you have been talking about for years.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:

JUPITER  is now in Scorpio.   This month he will travel from 5 t0 11 degrees of Scorpio.  Jupiter is about growth and expansion especially in travel and education and also in the area of your life ruled by the house in your natal chart that holds 5 to 11 degrees of Scorpio. Scorpio types are into growth, they are always looking at ways that they could better themselves, especially emotionally and psychologically.  Jupiter in Scorpio will help you with that.  But, in Scorpio he can also bring excess in all the things that are not good for you.

SATURN is in Sagittarius until Dec 19, 2017. This month he will travel from 25 to 28 degrees of Sagittarius.  If you have the ascendant or any personal planets at 25 to 28 degrees of Sagittarius or Gemini, you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules.  While Saturn is in Sagittarius, he is asking about your belief system, your hopes for the future and your travel plans

URANUS is in Aries until 2018.  Uranus is moving retrograde this month and he moves from 26 to 25 degrees of Aries.  We feel a need for freedom and we want to make some radical changes in our life.  I believe in “cooperating with the inevitable”.  If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, go on a long vacation, move or make some major changes in your life.

NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026.  This month he is moving retrograde until the 22^nd when he will move direct. This month he is moving from 12 to 11 degrees of Pisces.  A lack of focus, a sense of drifting or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the Sun or Personal Planets at 11 to 12 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out during the time Neptune is in Pisces. 

PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023.  This month Pluto is moving direct and will move from 17 degrees to 18 degrees of Capricorn all month.  Profound changes will be felt especially by those with Sun, ascendant or personal planets at 17 or 18 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer.

October 2017 Forecast

Welcome to the world of Uranus! The great disrupter.  Uranus went into the sign of Aries (forceful energy) in 2011 the same month of the Fukushima disaster.  The effect of Uranus and eclipses is very similar - and both of the eclipses in August aspected Uranus. In September, the Total Solar Eclipse of August 21 was triggered by the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Those planets brought the Total Solar Eclipse to life.  And in September we have had solar flares, a major earthquake in Mexico hurricanes and two volcanoes exploding in Indonesia.  Also, scientists have discovered 138 volcanoes under Antarctica.  They don’t know if they are active right now because they are under a mile of ice.  Eclipse energy can last 6 months-- so it isn’t over. 

Congratulations to all of the Scorpios out there.  Jupiter is entering your sign on Oct 10 and will stay in your sign for one year.  The last time he was in your sign was 26 Oct 2005 to 23 Nov 2006.  I call Jupiter the Big, Fat Happy guy.  Big because he is by far the largest planet in our solar system – fat because he tends to eat too much and drink too much and happy because he does bring good luck and abundance. 

Dates to Watch:

Oct 1 – Mars Trine Pluto.  You can clear up everything that is blocking your progress and that includes all the old newspapers and magazines you realistically will never read.

Oct 3 – Venus Trine Pluto.  This is about deep enjoyment and pleasure. Have a party.  Make a commitment to a loved one.

Oct 5 – Venus Conjunct Mars at 19 Virgo. These are the sexy planets.  Eros has the energy and Aphrodite is willing.  But in the sign of the Virgin?   Maybe a little tete-a- tete in the library will do.

          Full Moon (Harvest Moon) at 12 Aries opposite Mercury in Libra. A culmination of an important period of study or writing.

Oct 8 – Venus Square Saturn at 13 Virgo/Sagittarius. You have a chip on your shoulder.  People are rude and belligerent.  Why don’t you wait this one out especially if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant at 12 to 14 Virgo or Sagittarius.

          Sun Conjunct Mercury at 16 Libra.  Your mind is on fire today, you have so many good ideas you can’t write them down fast enough.

Oct 9 – Mercury Square Pluto at 17 Libra/Capricorn. Be careful of any plans that require a large expenditure of money.  Check all your bills for mistakes and don’t answer the phone from people you don’t know.  The scammers are out in droves today.

          Sun Square Pluto at 17 Libra/Capricorn.  You decide to tell everyone what is wrong with them and what they should do about it. That is not a good idea.  But I don’t think you care what I think, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 16 to 18 Libra or Capricorn.

Oct 10 – Jupiter enters Scorpio for one year. While Jupiter is in Scorpio, he will expand our understanding of sex, death, secrets, ancient mysteries and we could make some psychological discoveries about ourselves and others.  A good time to do research. Check your birth chart for the house occupied by Scorpio.  This area of your life will expand for the next year.  See the meaning of houses here.

Oct 11 – Mars Square Saturn at 23 Virgo/Sagittarius.  Someone is putting burdensome responsibilities on you right now.  Your freedom is limited.  This can last a few weeks.  Learn patience.  Especially those of you with personal planets at 23 Virgo/Sagittarius.

Oct 14 – Venus enters Libra until Nov 7.  Venus loves being in Libra. She wants to paint, wear beautiful clothes and stay in front of the mirror all day trying on different make-up. This is a great period to decorate your home, buy new clothes or change your hairstyle.

Oct 15 – Mercury Opposite Uranus at 27 Libra/Aries.  You just feel so irritated today that it may lead to a knock down drag out fight with someone. 

Oct 17 – Mercury enters Scorpio until Nov 5.  Mercury gets very suspicious during this time.  This is a good time to watch mysteries on Netflix and figure out who did it.  Otherwise, you will end up peeking through your curtains thinking the guy next door is communicating with ufos.

Oct 18 – Mercury Conjunct Jupiter at 2 Libra.  Finally a great aspect.  You could hear some very good news.  Maybe it’s an opportunity to travel abroad to study.  Excellent if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 1 to 3 Libra or Aries.

Oct 19 – New Moon at 26 Libra.  This New Moon is Opposite Uranus and sextile to Saturn.  New Moons are about new starts.  Plan to take off on a new adventure or an exciting new phase of your life.  You may have a Uranus/Aquarius person try to stop you.  But Saturn will help you plow on through.

          Sun Opposite Uranus at 27 Libra/Aries.  Someone is interfering with you.  They think they are helping.  They’re not.

Oct 22 – Mars enters Libra until December 9. Mars the planet of war is in the sign of harmony.  What can he do?  Maybe fight for justice. The area of your birth chart that contains Libra will see a lot of activity until Dec 9.

Oct 23 – Sun enters Scorpio until November 21.  The spooky time of year.  There is a marked increase in intensity in your personal life and on the world stage.  We don’t want to play around anymore.  We are looking for deep soulful relationships.

Oct 24 – Mercury Trine Neptune.  You can get good news about art, music or drama that makes you happy and content.

Oct 26 – Sun Conjunct Jupiter at 4 Scorpio.  Jupiter rules optimism. This aspect will give you a lift and get you out of that cozy little rut you have settled into. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 3 to 5 Scorpio you know exactly what I mean.  Scorpio’s have been known to hide inside their homes for 20 years with a few cats for company.

Oct 27 – Venus Square Pluto at 17 Libra/Capricorn. Relationships turn into manipulation contests.  Who controls who?  Why can’t he do what I want?  Why does he think I am stubborn? Libra and Capricorn are two signs that can be very hard-headed so if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 15 to 19 degrees of those two signs, go on separate vacations till the air clears.
