When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils - Wordsworth (1770-1850)
I always think the beginning of spring is when the daffodils bloom. Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland the Daffodils are popping up but still in buds ready to bloom. They will be in their full glory later this month.
This month the Pisces types are in a barrel. A lot of aspects hitting them this month some easy and some difficult.
March 25 Saturn turns retrograde at 16 Sagittarius. Read my friend Lynn Koiner for an interpretation of Saturn retrograde
Dates to Watch:
Mar 5 – Mercury Square Mars at 29 Aquarius/Scorpio. Everyone is speaking their mind today. Some people are looking for a heated debate. Control your tongue and try not to tell anyone off on facebook, especially if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus,and/or Mars) or the ascendant at 29 Aquarius/Scorpio.
Mercury enters Pisces until March 21. Things will get calmer this afternoon with Mercury entering the peace loving sign of Pisces. On this one your mind wants to take off to Never-Never Land. It can be a very creative time in the area of life ruling the house in your birth chart that contains Pisces. See the meaning of the houses here.
Mars enters Sagittarius until May 27. Mars goes retrograde next month so he will be in Sadge a long time. He retreats back into Scorpio on May 27 and then re-enters Sagittarius on August 3rd and finally moves into Capricorn on Sep 27. It’s very important to find the house in your birth chart that contains Sagittarius. This will be a very active area of your life now.
Mar 6 – Sun Square Saturn at 16 Pisces/Sagittarius. Saturn is a real wet blanket, no matter how you look at it or try to lessen the impact using New Agey kinds of words like challenge, growth or maturity. Saturn is an old depressive guy. Just sulk today. Saturn likes that.
Mar 8 – Solar Eclipse at 18 Pisces opposite Jupiter at 18 Virgo. Usually I would say that this is a positive eclipse since it is aspected by Jupiter. BUT, Jupiter is in Virgo, in his detriment. That is a word that is not used much anymore, but the old time astrologers loved it. It means impairment or disadvantage. Also, Jupiter is moving retrograde so he is not his happy go-lucky, extroverted self. I’ll send a report out in a few days with more details on this eclipse and how it will affect you.
Mar 11 – Mercury conjunct Neptune at 9 Pisces. Neptune rules Pisces so we have a triple Piscean event. Not a good day to sign contracts because your rational mind is out to lunch. It’s good to slow down today, meditate, and don’t watch the news, after all caring about who will become president is running counter to the Tao.
Mar 12 – Venus enters Pisces until April 5. Now we have the planet of love and money going into Pisces. Venus’ money side doesn’t work too well in Pisces and the love angle of Venus could get deceived or overwhelmed or fall in love with someone unattainable, George Clooney, anyone?
Mar 14 – Mercury Square Saturn at 16 Pisces/Sagittarius. You may find yourself at loggerheads with someone, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 16 Pisces/Sagittarius.
Venus Square Mars at 2 Pisces/Sagittarius. A day of complex problems in relationships. Maybe you are too aggressive if you have a Mars dominated birth chart or a lot of Aries. OR, if you have Pisces and a lot of Neptune aspects you feel hurt; you let your partner walk all over you and start to cry.
Mar 15 – Mercury Opposite Jupiter at 17 Pisces/Virgo. Sometimes when Mercury is in aspect to Jupiter, we feel we know it all. We can become big arrogant blabbermouths something like Ralph Kramden (Am I showing my age again?). Don’t get all preachy and obnoxious, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 17 Pisces or Virgo.
Mar 16 – Jupiter Trine Pluto at 17 Virgo/ Capricorn. A good earthy beneficial trine. This will be positive for those of you with personal planets or the ascendant at 17 Virgo/Capricorn. This aspect could lead to enrichment in experiences and education. You can take a giant step forward in your career. But you need to make an effort. Trines are so easy, we decide to take it easy and take a nap. Don’t do that. Go out, mingle, read a book, no not the latest romance novel, something educational. Take advantage of this day. Try something you haven’t done before.
Mar 20 – Sun enters Aries until April 19. Spring really gets underway now. In astrology and paganism, this is the beginning of the year. Makes sense.
Venus conjunct Neptune at 10 Pisces. This is a very romantic aspect. Venus is exalted in Pisces, she loves it in that sign and Neptune rules Pisces and is the higher vibration of Pisces. So go ahead get lost in your romantic daydreams.
Mar 21 – Mercury enters Aries until Apr 5. Mercury rules our speech and Aries is the warrior. This aspect signifies the fastest tongue in the west. Mercury in Aries types try to be nice, responsive and thoughtful and all of those sweet things, but once in a while they let one fly and they notice everyone around them is flattened against the wall. Try not to send out ziggers during this period. Write down all of your anger in your blog and then erase it. OR if you are a timid Pisces type, this period may give you the courage to speak your truth to power.
Mar 22 – Lunar Eclipse at 3 Libra conjunct Mercury. This eclipse should bring in a lot of information. I will describe this eclipse in my report next week.
Jupiter Square Saturn at 15 Virgo/Sagittarius. These two guys do not like each other at all. Jupiter wants to get outta town and have some fun, Saturn wants to stay home and work. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 15/Virgo/Sagittarius you will have a conflict between freedom and responsibility.
Mar 24 – Mercury Trine Mars at 5 Aries/Sagittarius. A great aspect. You know what you want and you know how to get it.
March 25 - Saturn stations and turns retrograde at 16 Sagittarius. I have heard nothing but complaints from the Sagittarians out there since last September when Saturn went into their sign. They think it is my fault that Saturn is kicking them around. It’s a cycle that happens every 29 years. It happened back in 1986-87. Saturn wants you to grow up. I know that is hard for a Sadge. If you have personal planets or the ascendant at 13 to 18 Sagittarius, cooperate with Saturn, de-clutter, clean the house and do some hard physical work.
Venus Opposite Jupiter and square Saturn at 16 degrees of Sagittarius/Virgo/Pisces. A triple aspect that could lead to a separation or destroyed hope. A need for solitude. Especially confusing and hard on relationships if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 16 degrees of Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces or Gemini.
Mar 26 – Sun Trine Mars at 6 Aries/Sagittarius. A good time to get something done. You have the energy to start a new project or take off on a trip.
Mar 29 – Mercury Trine Saturn at 16 Aries/Sagittarius. Another good day to get down to work. Very good for writing or editing.
Mar 30 – Mercury Square Pluto at17 Aries/Capricorn. Pluto rules large amounts of money. Pay your bills on time and keep your credit card secure.
Mar 31 – Mercury Conjunct Uranus at 19 Aries. I love Uranus; he is such an eccentric, quirky guy. Having Mercury tied in with Uranus means that you could come out with some outrageous, innovative ideas today, especially if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 19 Aries.
OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:
JUPITER is now retrograde in Virgo and will move from 19 to 15 degrees this month. He goes direct on May 9, 2016. Jupiter is about growth and expansion especially in travel and education and also in the area of your life ruled by the house in your natal chart that holds 15 to 19 degrees of Virgo. When Jupiter is retrograde, there is inner growth. Studying on our own or meditating.
SATURN is in Sagittarius until Dec 2017. This month he will travel from 15 to 16 degrees of Sagittarius. He goes retrograde on March 25 at 16 degrees of Sagittarius. If you have the ascendant or any personal planets at 15 to 16 degrees of Sagittarius or Gemini, you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules. While Saturn is in Sagittarius, he is asking about your belief system, your hopes for the future and your travel plans
URANUS is in Aries until 2018. This month Uranus moves from 18 to 19 degrees of Aries. We feel a need for freedom and we want to make some radical changes in our life. I believe in “cooperating with the inevitable”. If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, go on a long vacation, move, or make some major changes in your life.
NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026. He will move from 9 to 10 degrees of Pisces all month. A lack of focus, a sense of drifting or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the Sun or Personal Planets at 9 to 10 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out during the time Neptune is in Pisces. Also contact with the other worlds through NDE’s.
PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023. This month Pluto is moving from 16 to 17 degrees of Capricorn. Everyone is feeling the urge to purge and to find his or her truth. Profound changes will be felt especially by those with Sun, ascendant or personal planets at 16 to 17 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer.
Welcome Spring!
