Archetypes in the Birth Chart

 

That was a doozy of a lunar eclipse on Sept 27 and 28 at 4 Aries/Libra. The reverberation from that eclipse is still being felt and will be felt for a few years.   Check the eclipse article to see how it was involved with your natal chart.  An eclipse creates a very sensitive point in the sky.  This point is at 4 Aries/Libra.  Sometimes an event doesn’t happen on the day of the eclipse, but later when the eclipse is triggered by the Sun or Mars.  The trigger days are Nov 20 and 21 when Mars reaches 4 Libra and March 26, 2016 when the Sun reaches 4 Aries.

This is a very important month for those of you born between the 24^th of August and Sep 6.  A Lot of ups and downs, but mainly ups.  You will also be impacted if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant at 0 Virgo/Pisces to 13 Virgo/Pisces. 

Dates to Watch:

Oct 6 – Mars Opposite Neptune.  Keep your wits about you!  This aspect can lead you to wandering around in a fog.  Don’t invest in anything!  Don’t take advice from anyone!  Try to stay grounded. This aspect can last a few weeks.

Oct 8 Venus enters Virgo until Nov 8.  Venus gets mighty fussy on this one.  She wants a partner who is a neatnik.  You could become a critical nag if you aren’t already.

Oct 9 – Mercury turns direct at 10:57 EDT at 0 Libra. This is a time to implement our plans for the future.  You could see the way forward if you have any personal planets or the ascendant at 0 Libra or Aries.

Oct 10 – Venus Square Saturn at 1 Virgo/Sagittarius. You feel irritable and ready for a fight.  You have a smug, self-righteous look on your face that goes along with that big chip on your shoulder.  Hide, don’t talk to anyone today, you will just tee them off. You are especially obnoxious if you have any personal or the ascendant at 0 or 1 Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius or Gemini.

Oct 11 – Jupiter Trine Pluto at 12 Virgo/Capricorn.  A very constructive aspect.  Your creativity will allow you to make substantial gains and progress in any area of your life that you want to work on.  Energy just flows.  Especially powerful if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 10 to 14 Virgo or Capricorn.

          Sun Opposite Uranus at 18 Libra/Aries.  Some crazy person can come into your life and try to tell you want to do.  Try to be tactful.

Oct 12 – New Moon at 19 Libra. A good day to set an intention about what you want to bring into your life this month.  This new moon is all about your relationships.

Oct 15 – Mars Trine Pluto at 12 Virgo/Capricorn.  This is a good opportunity to clean up your affairs, rid yourself of clutter and  people in your life that are not in line with your goals and wishes.

Oct 16 – Venus Opposite Neptune at 7 Virgo/Pisces.  Confusion around social events and relationships.  Best to use this aspect in decorating your home.  Venus/Neptune is found in the charts of interior decorators.

Oct 17 – Mars Conjunct Jupiter at 14 Virgo.  Optimistic and willing to take a chance.  You may expect too much from this aspect and get disappointed.  But it does give you the energy to go after what you want.  To push forward.

Oct 22 – Mercury Square Pluto at 12 Libra/Capricorn.  Double check the bill you receive in a restaurant and don’t lend any money to anyone.  Pluto is wealth and Mercury is a dirty little thief.

Oct 23 – The Sun Enters Scorpio until Nov 22.  This is the dark, Halloween time of the year.

          Venus Trine Pluto at 12 Virgo/Capricorn.  A good time for a party and for sealing a pact of friendship.

Oct 25 – Venus Conjunct Jupiter at 15 Virgo.  First conjunction was July 1 this year.  You may have started a relationship back then, but it probably ran into a lot of obstacles because of difficult aspects from other planets.  Now that relationship is free to develop although it will move slowly because Virgo is a shy, introverted sign but loyal and there for the long haul. This aspect brings love and good feelings to everyone. It can be a wish come true aspect.  Or a dream trip or vacation.  It could bring in good luck and abundance, but watch out for overspending.  This aspect is especially strong if you have personal planets or the ascendant at 12 to18 Virgo or Pisces.

          Mercury opposite Uranus at 17 Libra/Aries.  Don’t enter into an argument with a business associate.  There could be a temperamental flare-up

Oct 27 – Full Moon at 3 Taurus.  A great full moon for staying home, taking care of your stuff and cleaning up the yard and garden.

Oct 30 Sun Trine Neptune at 7 Scorpio/Pisces.  There should be a lot of ghosts prowling the streets this Halloween.  This aspect brings in the paranormal and things that go bump in the night.

OUTER PLANET TRANSITS:

JUPITER is now in Virgo and will move from 10 to 16 degrees this month. Jupiter is about growth and expansion especially in travel and education and also in the area of your life ruled by the house in your natal chart that holds 10 to 16 degrees of Virgo.

SATURN is in Sagittarius until Dec 2017. This month he will travel from 1 to 3 degrees of Sagittarius.   If you have the ascendant or any personal planets at 1 to 3 degrees of Sagittarius or Gemini, you may be in store for some hard lessons around the issues ruled by the planet and the house the planet is in or rules.  While Saturn is in Sagittarius, he is asking about your belief system, your hopes for the future and your travel plans

URANUS is in Aries until 2018.  This month Uranus is moving retrograde and will move from 18 to 17 degrees of Aries.  We feel a need for freedom and we want to make some radical changes in our life.  I believe in “cooperating with the inevitable”.  If you have Uranus in a challenging aspect to your ascendant or personal planets, go on a long vacation, move, or make some major changes in your life.

NEPTUNE (creativity, sensitivity, escapism, dreams) is in Pisces until 2026.  He is moving retrograde this month and will stay at 7 degrees of Pisces.   A lack of focus, a sense of drifting or an inability to see a betrayal or disappointment until it's too late can be experienced by those of you with the Sun or Personal Planets at  7 degrees of Pisces or Virgo. For the enlightened out there, Neptune can also bring artistic, musical, creative expression, increased dreams and spiritual insights. Watch for some really inspired films to come out during the time Neptune is in Pisces.

PLUTO is in Capricorn until 2023.  This month Pluto is moving  from 12  to 13 degrees of Capricorn.  Everyone is feeling the urge to purge and to find his or her truth.  Profound changes will be felt especially by those with Sun, ascendant or personal planets at 12 or 13 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer.

Spectacular Lunar Eclipse This Month

Every six months, eclipses show the turning points in our lives. They shine a spotlight on something we have not seen previously.  Eclipses indicate what we are to accomplish for the following 6 months to 3 years. They bring in news and events that are sometimes "out of the blue". Time seems to speed up. In a positive sense, eclipses can clear what may obscure the way forward. Remember that the key words for eclipses are emphasis and crisis.  

Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on.  But that can be a good thing. Some view eclipses as release and renewal points.  If your birthday falls on or close to the dates of an eclipse your life will change dramatically in the months and years ahead.

The ancients believed that during an eclipse, the "mighty will fall". They appear often in the mythology of different cultures most often as symbols of obliteration, fear, and the overthrow of the natural order of things. Eclipses were the great omens of fated, large-scale events. The word eclipse comes from a Greek word meaning "abandonment." Quite literally, an eclipse was seen as the Sun abandoning the earth.

Solar Eclipses – The eclipse of the Sun has been traditionally viewed with dread over the ages, as the Sun seems to disappear from the sky. It gets dark in the middle of the day and it seems as if something dreadful is about to happen. Solar Eclipses tend to relate to sudden events that disrupt our day to day functioning; they are the crisis that seems to come out of nowhere and that suddenly demand all of our conscious attention and focus. They tend to stir things up on a physical and conscious level much more than Lunar Eclipses. 

Solar Eclipse on Sept 13 at 20 Virgo 

This is a partial Solar Eclipse visible in southern Africa, Madagascar, the Indian Ocean and Antarctica. 

Because this eclipse is in the sign of Virgo, We may feel the urge to clean, sort, troubleshoot and fix things/  It is also a good time to work in the garden.  This is also a health conscious sign.  We may start paying attention to diet, hygiene and daily schedules. 

This eclipse is trine Pluto giving deep awareness of what you want to come into your life and the power to set the right intention to bring it in. 

Lunar Eclipses - The Lunar Eclipse gives us opportunities to break out of our current cycle and move on to a different level.  A Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of our patterns, and our unconscious motivations. Lunar Eclipses can bring up old memories and feelings.  As a full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse tends to bring completion or endings. On a Lunar Eclipse something will end and on a Solar Eclipse something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that stand in the way of self-realization. 

Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. You can finally make decisions about issues that you have been thinking about. The Sun opposite the Moon, lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness.  

Lunar Eclipses are more emotional than Solar Eclipses.  Because a Lunar Eclipse only happens on a full moon, two houses in your natal chart will be affected. 

 Lunar Eclipse on Sept 27-28 at 4 Aries/Libra 

This is a spectacular total Lunar Eclipse visible throughout most of North and South America and parts of Europe and Africa.  This eclipse will be especially long –going a full 5 hours and 10 minutes from start to finish with 72 minutes of full totality!  This eclipse occurs at the time of a “super moon”.  A Super Moon is when the moon is closer to the earth that normal.  That will make the moon 14 percent bigger in diameter and have 30 percent more surface area. This super moon will begin at 9:07 EDT on Sept 27 and for the first hour the moon will appear to move from right to left pushing into the Earth’s shadow darkening as it does.  Totality-fully inside the shadow—begins at 10:11 PM and will last until 11:23 PM.  During the totality the moon will have a rusty, coppery, reddish-orange color.  The moon will then gradually exit the shadow and its lit surface will start to re-appear and this will last until 12:27 AM Sept 28. 

This eclipse affects two signs – Aries and Libra.  Aries want to be free and Libra wants to be in a partnership.  This is the conflict that needs to be worked out during this eclipse period. It is about relationships versus self interest. 

This eclipse is trine Saturn.  This eclipse can be emotionally upsetting especially if you have Cancer and/or the moon prominent in your chart.  Having Saturn in a trine to this eclipse will help steady our emotions.

Eclipses repeat every 19 years.  We had two eclipses at the same point in March 1997.  Look back to what happened then.  This will continue a theme that was playing out at that time.

How will these eclipses affect you? 

An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your natal chart or what planets it conjuncts, or opposes.  The areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more attention, thought, energy, and time from you, at least until the next eclipse. Eclipses open doors and invite us to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of our lives that need our attention. 

The Solar Eclipse on the 13th will affect you if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and/or Mars) or the ascendant at 18 to 22 degrees of Virgo or Pisces.

 The impact on a personal planet is much stronger than if the eclipse hits outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto). 

Also look at your natal chart for the houses that contain 18 to 22 degrees of Virgo or Pisces. 

The Lunar Eclipse on the 28^th will impact you If one of your personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant is at 2 to 6 degrees of Aries or Libra. It will mean the end of one set of circumstances and the beginning of another. Let go. 

Also look at your natal chart for the houses that contains 2 to 6  degrees of Aries or Libra.
